Brett
Disappointed with the course conditions at that price. I know there are many better options in the valley for less money than that.
McDowell Mountain GC
Great golf course, very enjoyable and in excellent shape. Good mix of holes, greens were in nice condition, quite fast. I would definitely play there again. The range was a treat as the course offered new Callaway balls, but modest target areas. Winter sun (close to the horizon) made sunglasses / eyewear a must.
Nice after round lounge area / restaurant. Enjoyed the flat iron steak and beverage. Definitely had the feel of a private club. A great find and I will play here again...!
Mickelson Masterpiece
This course has a very good layout and will challenge not just the average player but the advanced ones as well. The greens were a little on the slower side but they still rolled smooth. The fairways were nice and lush along with the rough.
Great Service
Enjoyed the course - little disappointed there weren't better mountain views, but still nice. Also wished the carts had course screens and yardage. Bring your watches or range finders.
But staff was excellent. Played as a single - they went out of their way to pair me with a fun group.
I will return if I find another GolfNow deal!
Best course yet
Had a great time the staff was friendly and very helpful I would definitely recommend this course and I would definitely return the next time I'm in the area
Miserable experience at the course and before I went
It is a shame that I will not play this course again. The people in the proshop do NOT know what they are doing, especially when it comes to Golf Now.
The course is in excellent condition.
I enjoyed the round. Didn’t get to play with a group but the course is well laid out with a number of very interesting holes. It is well worth playing.
Challenging
I enjoyed this course very much. The narrow farrow fairways and quick greens made this course very challengin. I would call it a great desert course.
overrated
This course is overpriced. This course has nice wide fairways very fast greens and no views or trees. It's grossly overpriced. This is a $45.00 course not a $90.00 course. The clubhouse is nice but a cup of tea is $3.50. Everything says it's trying to be a country club without the country club flare or the staff to support it. The ranger was condescending, no water on the course, and because there are no trees the wind blows through. Apparently, golfers who play there like don't like to fix their divots, lack of respect for others. This course has nice wide fairways very fast greens and no views or trees. It's grossly overpriced. Pretty course-enjoyed it
When I booked a tee time for this course, in view of the fact that it is considered a desert course,I envisioned having to hit over actual desert areas as compared to the desert areas that were on either side of the fairways.I was not disappointed at all and I enjoyed playing the course.
Great golf day.
I enjoyed playing this course. Beautiful weather. Course was in good shape. No real complaints except it could have played a little faster.
Awesome deal
Got a $10 Saturday afternoon hot deal round. Can't beat that! Course was in really good shape, green and lush...except for a couple of bunkeers that I noticed appeared to be in bad shape and a bit rocky or had some overgrowth in them. Greens rolled nicely and seemed fair, not too quick or too slow. I played my 18 hole round in just over 3 1/2 hrs. Enjoyed the layout very much. First time there but wiill be back for sure, especially if I can find some nice deals like that!
Very enjoyable afternoon
Excellent service, very friendly and helpful staff. Great course for seniors like myself. No need to have to hit it a mile but still a great challenge. Definitely will play again.
Thanks for a great day.
Great course with poor staff
We traveled for a golf trip to Scottsdale and was looking forward to playing this course. Unfortunately, right from the start we did not have a good experience. Right after we tee'd off, a Marshall came and asked us to skip the first hole because THEY we're falling behind with the tee times. We had a Marshall come up twice more on the 3rd hole which was a Par 3 where we had to wait for people to get off the green to play. By the 4th hole, I was so frustrated when a new Marshall came up for the fourth time of only playing three holes and started telling my friends and I that we shouldn't be playing that course even though we hadn't fallen behind much. After that the Marshall basically said to stop playing after 9 holes and get a refund, but we played on and let one group play through who we stayed right behind the entire back 9. If the tee times are too close together or you can't put together logistics that allow ample time for players to play, then you can't turn around and blame the players. They knew it was going to be a busy day, but had no alternate plan. And if they really thought it was going to be a problem from the beginning of our round, they could have told us and we would have thought about this differently. I loved the course and the setup, but the staff made my experience sub-par for all of the front 9 and I would find it hard to play here again or recommend this course to a friend.
Nice layout
Great holes and scenery. The only issue is the power lines run alongside about half the holes. Clubhouse and restaurant offer excellent sunset views and good food.
Starter doesn't know
Booked a 6:45am tee time as I had to be in Scottsdale for an 11:30 lunch. Starter wanted two "friends of the course" to play alone at their request. Instead of allowing me to go ahead and fly through the course (6:45 was the first tee), the starter had me wait until 7:09am to play with two seniors and behind a 4-some. Course was in GREAT condition other than rather slow greens.
