Oak Creek Golf Club

Started playing here a couple years ago. Love the course, location, standard pro shop amenities, beer selection… absolutely don’t like the price, especially on weekends, even for USAF retiree. USB’s were inop in our cart. I would consider making this course my go-to if the pricing supported my decision making. I recommend the course if you’re willing/able to choke down the cost. Good half smoke at the turn! Stacy’s Mom IPA is legit!

The course was in excellent shape even after a hard rain. Staff was great, adjusting tee time when the group ahead didn't show.

The course has a challenging yet manageable layout. The flyover drone videos available on the website facilitate greatly the strategy on how to tackle each hole if it’s your first time out there, which was great. It is in great condition all around, and greens are some of the best I’ve played in the DMV area. One big issue I have with Oak Creek was the pace of play. There was no ranger in visible sight making sure that each group was keeping things moving along and we were stuck at several tee boxes for up to 10 minutes at a time. I would definitely return to Oak Creek in the future but I would only pick a tee time first thing in the morning, so if you’re planning on going out past 9:00 am, beware. It took us 5+ hours to complete 18 holes, and that was unpleasant. I also thought that for the price we paid per golfer (USD 94) the place could have better amenities, including in terms of food and beverage options. Other than that, I definitely think it’s a diamond in the rough, but I wouldn’t pay that high a ticket for that experience

First time playing Oak Creek. Greens are excellent, and staff is friendly. Overall excellent experience. Course is a bit short, but the par 5s are challenging. It is not a walkable course due to large distances between green and tee. Will definitely play again.

The course is in the best condition I have seen it. The new Ranger was very helpful and understanding when my playing partner was delayed in arriving. He arranged for me to play with another group.

Played Oak Creek for the first time 14 May 2022. The course was in pretty good shape, greens were rolling nicely. Pro shop staff were ok, not very helpful. The starter was excellent; very friendly and knowledgeable. The range only uses mats for hitting, so no natural grass to practice on.

Unfortunately, during my visit there was only one working toilet and no food, other than chips and candy bars, available for purchase. Pro shop staff didn't seem to care. I'll probably go back because I really enjoyed the course and conditions were good, but not at the price I paid. Will keep an eye out for a deal...

At that price Balls should be included. And there should be someone to clean off clubs at the end.

Yardages are different between Card, placards, and on course plates. Needs to be fixed.

Nice course, Nice layout , but to much for this course should >$50

Good layout, good pace,condition good have to drive back to clubhouse to get anything...To pricey for what should be under $50 on a weekday afternoon. Nice staff

Played 18 on Saturday with some friends from out of town and was very impressed with the course, fairways coming in nice and the greens were rolling great. Drew and Collin helped us getting our bags onto the cart from the parking lot and filling our range buckets with balls, very attentive service. Would recommend and will be back again.

I’ve played at Oak Creek several times as it is fairly close to where I live. This round was, undoubtedly, my worse on-course experience at this course. I waited for an average of 10-12 mins on every hole on the back 9. The pace of play was excruciatingly slow! I know there was a marshal out there because I saw him on the third hole. I’m not sure if he tried to move things along. On hole 10 there were 4 groups of golfers! I didn’t see the marshal once on the back 9, or any other staff explaining why the the pace was so slow. I thought that was unfortunate because OC is one of my favorite courses to play, and I’ve never had an experience like this in all the years I’ve played there.

This review isn’t my normal experience with OC, and plan to play there again soon in the hopes that this was an unfortunate one-time outlier since it has never happened to me before. Based on my final thoughts, I’ll still recommend OC.

There was a father with his 6-7 yr old daughter and teenage son with one set of clubs. I commend him for his efforts.
