Maiden Voyage
I used to live in Alexandria, Va for 7 years a long time ago. Never played this course until now. Played with a nice couple who owns a Korean Restaurant in Beltsville, MD. Great layout. Good pace. Conditions pretty good for early March. If I can get the same rate again, I will come back and play when I visit DC area next time.
Best in years
The weather was problematic. I have been a Golf Now customer for years. But I was treated to what I considered to be excellent customer care on this date at Oak Creek in Bowie Maryland.
I was employed with Shell oil Company for 27 years, but this young man impressed me as a true golf and customer service believer.
I guess I didn’t truly
understand him until I saw him at the end of the round when he met us at our the cart return asked us how we enjoyed the round, truly customer focused.
I feel like an idiot for not asking his name. But hopefully I can help this by describing him as a well spoken mid twenties African American with a great attitude.
Slow Pace
Understandably there was a slight delay due to some rain. However the group in front of us were taking an extra amount of time with their shots with much discussion in between. It slowed the entire place down to a snails pace. After the 9th hole we attempted to get some distance by going to the clubhouse for snacks and drinks. Only to drive to the 10th hole 30 minutes later to find them still on the fairway. First 6 hour game I have experienced yet. Place is beautiful and staff are friendly. Ranger needs to push pace a little better though.
Greens are in great shape and rolling true
They have finally cut and rolled the greens and they are rolling much faster now - The course is starting to come in nicely from a dormant winter. Once the temps increase it will be back in prestine condition.
February Golf
For February this course was in great shape! Especially compared to other courses I’ve played this winter. The greens rolled well, the fairways were brown (understandably) but well taken care of. I can’t wait to see what the course will look like in the spring.
Great course. I highly recommend it.
Super slow play
Gorgeous day, staff was excellent. Seemed they over booked the course. We had to wait for a golf cart and then head play 14 holes in four hours. The last four holes were 2 to 3 groups deep
Oak Creek
One of my favorite courses in the area. It was in very good shape, leaves blown off and greens fast. People need to fix their divots.
They need to tell people that hole#3 is under construction.
Will play there again!!!!!!

They need to tell people about construction on number 3. Many golfers did not know this was turned into a Par 3
