Beautiful Course
Really enjoyed an outing with the boys. The course was in fantastic shape and played well. If I had to gripe about anything it would be the driving range was frustrating because the distance was too short to use a driver. Other than that, I will be playing here again. Hopefully sooner rather than later.
Dehydration/ can't walk/limited driving range
The layout of the holes and their characteristics were great.. Fairways and greens were OK however it is obvious that the clientele don't consider golf stewardship important. Bunkers were not raked by previous players, tons of ball marks on greens not repaired, divots not replaced or sanded. I enjoy walking for the exercise and to avoid the extra charge for carts, but the distance between greens and tees would make this impossible. I get that because the course meanders thru a residential neighborhood. My biggest complaint is that this round was nearly $100 and that was thru Golfnow and it had a limited driving range (irons and hybrids only) and on a 85 degree humid day no beverage cart and EMPTY water buckets. No excuse when our tee time was 8:48. If you are not going to have a cart and are not going to fill buckets then need to tell players at check in so they can adequately supply themselves. Between the cost, driving range, greens condition, and lack of water, I would not recommend this course. I generally like to provide negative feedback directly but the lack of water was the last straw.
Walked off on 8
Took 2 hours 15 minutes to play 7 holes. Cart died on 8. Awful experience and will never return
Much Needed Saturday Out
FIrst time at Oak Creek, loved it. The course was in great condition. Perfect Weather, Lots of Fun. There was some external construction that took away from the scenery, but that had nothing to do with the course or Oak Creek. The staff was great, friendly helpful and knowledgeable.
Grabbed a burger and drinks afterwards at the restaurant. Hit the Spot.
We will be back.
Great course terrible pace of play
Course was Amazing one of the best public courses in the Area yet the pace of play is terrible the absolute worst. I took me 5 hours to play a round and it was only two of us.
Great tome
Play was slower than I'd like, but the course was busier than you might expect for a Tuesday. Several holes had multiple groups backed up, but overall, it was acceptable.
Course conditions were excellent, greens were a bit slow, bunkers so-so.
In all, I love the challenge that Oak Creek presents, and would recommend you play it sometime.
Fantastic All-Around Course
There’s really nothing to hate about this course. It is well-maintained and beautiful.
Slow as F…..5 hours and counting
5 hour round, didn’t see a marshall after the first hole and a beverage cart after the fourth hole.
There was some tournament before our tee time and I guess they did not care about the rest of the patrons who paid money to play.
The guy at the pro shop was either tired or was not friendly at all or both. The only positive was the person manning the grill at the first hole.
The greens were just yearning for some care, quite possibly cos of the tournament and the heavy summer. Fairways were pretty good.
But overall experience was just really meh. Not a big fan of the layout either.
Annual Trip to Play Golf
With the Tee Time Digital Golf Pass, it was $29 to play on a Tuesday. Great deal! The course was in beautiful shape with lush fairways and excellent greens, which were very, very fast! They were cutting the fairways--which looked like they hadn't been cut for a while due to rainy weather--and they hadn't gotten to blowing away all the grass clippings. We played amongst some of that, but it was okay. Some of the bunkers were eroded from rains and/or holding water, but still others were fine. I took some friends with me who had never played the course before and they enjoyed it, especially all the bridges on the course (its namesake, of course)! The Bridges is always a good course to play with a great mix of hard/easy holes and a chance to hit fairways and score. This is one of my favorite courses in PA.
For Hot Conditions, Good Course Conditions
I haven't played Oak Creek since before the pandemic, and decided to give it another try. I was surprised about the course conditions...overall they were great, especially in such hot weather. The fairways were thick and lush, with no thinning or dirt spots that I saw. The bunkers, for the most part, had nice sand. And, the greens--as usual--were fast. There were only three holes that were cart path only due to the prior day's rain, so that was a good thing (other than #10, which is really hard to walk). I know this course gets a lot of play, but they have managed to keep it in good shape through the excessive play, rainy weather, and hot temperatures.
