Superb
Oak Creek is my favorite course in the Annapolis area. Great fairways, excellent greens, plenty of shade, cement cart paths.. Highly recommend this course.
Roger from Annapolis
Best shape I've ever seen the course
I have played Oak Creek over 25 times and the course is in the best shape it's ever been in. The fairways are green/plush and the green are in great shape. Hats off to the grounds crew.
A Rising Star
I played this course for the first time in 2015 or 2016. It hadn’t had an opportunity to mature by that point. This time around, late spring of 2021, it was in fabulous condition and I thoroughly enjoyed the round. I can’t wait to go back and play it again.
Very Nice Course
Oak Creek is a great golf course and fun to play. The pace of play here is the worst I have ever seen on a golf course though. Other golfers have no courtesy for allowing faster golfers to play through and the staff doesn’t do anything about it. The golf course itself is as good as it gets but the people and vibe there are not on the same page.
Thoroughly enjoyed the round. The course was in great condition and it had some really fun holes. It definitely gives you chances to go under par on a lot of the holes if you play them right. As good as any courses in the area that are $100+. Look forward to going back.
Great Place to play
Played on 5/22. The course is always fun. They had grill going at the 19th hole
Too slow
The course is in good shape. The layout is interesting; making it generally a fun course to play. Today, however, the pace became way too slow. The first seven holes went well; then things really slowed up, After 4 1/4 hours we had finished 15 holes and decided that was enough. As we drove to the club house we passed seven foursomes either playing or waiting at the tee box. Had we played all 18 holes it would, I'm sure, been a more than 5 hour round. This doesn't usually happen here but clearly today something wasn't working.
Well conditioned resort style gem
Very few things in life are certain but I’d bet with certainty that no one walks into the clubhouse here and says “I’d like to walk this course today “ With circuitous routing through a sprawling community this former private course reminds one of typical “resort “ style courses associated with adjoining hotels. It’s all right in front of you with generally no big surprises. That being said I found it to be an enjoyable experience and would most definitely play it again. Not much of a warm-up area but that can be overlooked as most fairways are expansive and sparsely bunkered. Conditions are nice considering that divot repair is rather difficult with no sand/mix bottles and another course with NO BUNKER RAKES. Very enjoyable round with a course whose only defense seemed to be pin placement on some of the larger and more undulated greens.Perhaps one more of life’s certainties is that whoever set pins for today’s date did NOT have an early morning “roll in the hay” with their s/o...brutal.
Nice course
Good shape, nice layout, cart person needed to be out sooner then 17th hole
Great course, but out of bounds is too close to cart path.
Frustration.
I will start by saying I am a Capital Card holder for this club and play here frequently. The last 2 times in Primetime on Sunday. When you pay top fee , you should get a great experience. first time we finished in 4 hrs 10 min with 3 holes CPO. Beautiful. Second 4:45...with one hole CPO. ughh I hate slow play. We waited on a threesome with horrible cart/golf etiquette all day. They even took the cart on a par 3 when all 3 tee balls missed the green. WHAT.. who does that, they should not have to be told by the staff that par 3's are always CPO. Funny part is the same thing happened the week before. Think the staff needs to put out ropes to prevent this and keep the apron safe.
We did not see a marshall until hole 12 and had to flag him down. When asked why the delay he looked at his sheet and realized .. oh yea maybe their is one. He did go and ask the 2 groups in front of us to pick it up but never checked to see if they did. Weekend mornings Marshalls should be out and about at all times. In this case they need to help people with etiquette.
As far as conditions, fairways and tees are great, greens good. Please people fix ball marks. Again.. not something staff should have to tell you. Most Bunkers where not raked .This I feel the grounds crew could do especially before weekend play. They are filled with tiny pebbles too and could use new sand. That being said I know I will be back but it feels good getting the frustration out.
The course is in great shape. The layout is always fun.
