Must Be Bermuda Grass
Somewhat odd layout with 5 par 3's, 5 par 5's, and 8 par 4's. Fairways were plush, but I did not get as much roll as usual, and approach shots would come to a dead stop on the fringe without bouncing up on the green. Greens seem to have been punched a few weeks ago, as holes are still evident. Greens have numerous ball marks, and sand traps could use work. Staff was very friendly.
Oak creek
Pace of play was great until back nine a very slow group got in front of us. Play started on back and there was no Marshall around so I believe they started on the front. We didn’t see them at all the first nine holes on the back. And they were terrible.
Great course
Early tee time gave us a great opportunity to play before the heat came in - grounds were well kept and staff were extremely friendly
Enjoyable
Need rain; fairways are drying out. Still one of the best golf courses in area.
Do need to have additional water stations during this time of the summer.
Loved this course.
So glad we found the course. The course was well maintained with a lot of challenging holes. Not a lot of people playing today, pace was good. The course is so pretty with wide open fairways. Lost a lot of balls but was also able to find a lot of replacement balls. Will definitely go back. Staff was very nice.
This was my third time to play the course in 11/2 years and it was in the best shape I have seen it. Not only was the course in great shape but the staff in pro shop was first rate. Customer service seems to be lacking in a lot of service industries but I would like to commend the gentleman that check me in. I didn't get his name but I played June 30th at 10:30. I will go back and play again.
Great spot
The course is in great shape! Everything, fairways and green, are in great shape. Even the rough looks good (yep, I was there quite a bit too). Highly recommend this course. In my opinion it is one of the better courses in MD.
