Golfer Reviews
Construction
There was a lot of construction on the course that made things a little frustrating.
Great Course
Course was in good condition. They are currently working on the greens and prepping them for the year.
Course relatively easy. I played Red to White. Most were a Driver/3 Wood off the tee. 9 Iron to Wedge to the green. Virtually no bunkers but the par 3’s you will be shooting over water.
I will be playing here again.
Enjoy this course
With the exception of no sand a pretty challenging layout. Very few courses with sand maintain so prefer none to start then. Very dry and hard so tons of roll until grass starts growing.
Greens very bumpy, need major work. Staff very friendly
Should not have been open for play -------- Lot's of rain for a week ------- standing water everywhere , Could not chip or pitch around green 's to soggy & lots of mud flying off ur club on most of ur shots .
Love this course
Our tee time 12:45 and wind speed of 50 knots, temp 45. Made hitting fairway all most impossible. But I will do again next week. Great staff and love the food. I just realize I didn't see cart person the entire 4 hour round, she is smart.
Enjoyable Round of Golf
It started out rough due to delay for frost. But 45 min to 1 hr later I was on the course enjoying a good round. Course is not too difficult and has a great view of the local lake and surroundings. Greens a little slow compared to other courses but did role true.
I definitely would play this course again and would like to try in the summer time.
Back log on tee
When we arrived 45 minutes before our tee time. There was barely anyone on the course but close to 60 people waiting to tee off. They were using 2 sets of tees and we got off only 15 minutes late. Great job by the starter! It was though one of the longest rounds of golf. We saw a 7 player group...
Prairie Lakes Red Nine
Course was in pretty decent shape for it being winter and the grass being dormant,. The fairways were hardpan in a lot of areas, but it is kind of expected during winter play. The greens were in very goo condition and some were fairly tricky with pins being placed on small ridges on some holes. The driving range was pretty nice and the practice green is expansive. Overall a very good value for winter golf.
