Fun Golf!
Nice golf course, friendly staff. The only thing that was lacking was GPS in the carts. This would have been helpful since it was my first time playing this course. A must for this course is lunch at the restaurant, great food at a reasonable price. Overall, a fun day on the course!
Course is in excellent shape !
Amazingly dry and playable given the epic rains. Carts were allowed off the path and most courses are not allowing this. Greens held and rolled great. Be aware the rough is unforgiving until they can mow those areas.
I don't mind driving from NRH to play this course as the price is right and the BBQ is very good !
A little muddy
There had been a lot of rain in the area in the weeks leading up to me playing, so the conditions were a little muddy. Nothing you can do about that. I found the course to be difficult at times and then it gives you a little break. The "Grand Bermuda Triangle" on the "White Course" was awesome to play! Makes the average golfer, like myself, feel like your at a PGA Tour event. Great value for the money. I will be playing again soon.
Nice course!
The only problem I had was a five some jumped in front of us, we were a two some. I had to call the Pro shop and complain. They did send out a Marshall and broke them up. They should have held them up and let us play through.
Lots of water hazards
Great course with lots of water hazards. Well maintained with plenty of playing options with three separate 9 hole courses. White, Blue, and Red.
First round, but not my last
This was my first time to play the course, Red and White. People I've played with have always had good things to say about it and now I will be one of them. The course is in very good shape and is challenging, but should not scare anyone away.
Great course
We played on an awesome Sunday afternoon after a stormy Saturday, the grass was wet/soggy but not enough to impact play, the course is beautiful with a lot of water hazards, the pace of play was acceptable for how busy the course was, it was an awesome round regardless of my score
Great day
I Played the Blue and White courses during the week around noon. they have really done a great job on the fairways, greens, and tee boxes. Both coures were in great shape. Only thing is that might have overbooked the course but the pace was still good.
Great 9 hole course
For the money this is great course to play it is surrounded by a lake so there are plenty of water holes.
This course was challenging, especially The Blue 9
Lots of water on the Blue 9 and much more difficult than the White 9. Staff very friendly. Course was in good shape. Carts had ball and club cleaner attached. Only complaint is the water for the cleaner could have been fresh with some "suds". Played on a Saturday so a little slow, but it was beautiful to be out on the course with friends!
Bad timing
Prairie Lakes has always been a great place to play because the course is usually in great condition, but coming out of winter and with all the recent snow and rain, the course was very wet. The day we played it was cart path only. I would definitely recommend this course and I will play there again. I'm sure the course will be in great condition once it dries out a bit.
Soggy Times
It really isn't very fair to rate this course in regard to the day we played. Had been raining for two days and the course was extremely wet. In fact, no matter where the ball landed, there was a splash. In spite of the conditions, the greens were actually a little hard, but rolled very smooth. Tee boxes were is good shape, and without so much water, the fair ways would have had some smooth and good roll too. Greens have some movement, which I like. Doesn't help my score any though. For a duffer like me, this course has just enough length to be challenging and fair. One of the courses (there are three 9's) was closed. The two we played have no bunkers, but enough trees and water hazards to make up for it.
Course conditions
For this time of year if you stayed in the fairway the conditions were in great shape. Due to some rain, there was some standing water and had to remove ball from some of the water.
The greens were in perfect condition.
I really enjoyed playing the course that I haven't played in over two years and getting a good discount from GolfNow was really nice.
fun muni
For middle of winter course was in great shape. I have always liked this course some very good risk/reward holes. My only complaint is the same with most muni's.....people driving everywhere.....next to green, tees..right down the fairways. Really wish they had more signs and/or the desk guys would just state rules to each group. (this is just my ex-superintendent side crying out...LOL)
Very nice courses
Attractive setting on the banks of Mountain Creek Lake. All courses in very good condition considering it's the middle of winter in Dallas. GREAT barbeque restaurant in clubhouse. Worth the trip just to eat. Always a good experience at this 27 hole course.
Nice
nice 3-9 holes the place its good and the carts are in good condition just the people are not nice or friendly at all but good expirience
Grand Prairie Lakes
The course was in excellent shape I playe the best round of golf in years. Enjoyed the Bar B Que sandwiches the new friendship we gain with the two new players in our group it was a pleasant experience that hope to do it again
Nice course with WATER
Great course. It had some very tough par 3s. Short par 5s though so they offset. There was a lot of water out there. One picturesque hole along the big lake. The greens rolled smoothly but were dormant, so they were quick.
