Prairie Lakes Golf Course - Blue Course

Really good shape fairly short course but tight and challenging. Greens have some grain but putted pretty good Excellent value for the money.

The course was very nice. Clubhouse was very nice. Greens had just been verti cut but we're still nice. I would definitely play it again.

Prairie Lakes has three nine hole courses which the staff varies which course you start on. So it can be a different experience each time. Most par 3s are protected by water. The White course is my favorite 9 holes that I've played in DFW so far. I played this round shortly after it rained and the greens had been recently aerated. So putting was impossible due to the sand, but understandable. Also since it rained early that morning, the lawn mowers were still out during the round and usually they get all of that done earlier. Definitely did not ruin my experience and I'm excited to play there again soon!

Coarse aerater at this time. New friend Andy said before aerater coarse in great shape.

Good value and nice challenged

If you shoot above your handicap on this course you need to hit the range. Greens are a little slow but overall not a bad course for the money. Great practice range and a huge practice green.

Course is in great shape. Staff is really friendly and we had a nice relaxing day.

I have played prairie lakes for 15 years several rounds a year. I have never seen the greens in this great of shape. The staff is always friendly, and I never hav any complaints there. And if u hadn't tried the bbq you are missing out. Great muni great shape great price great people....

I played what I believe was the Red and White course. They have 27 holes with each 9 holes having a color for the name.

Course was in pretty good shape. Fairways and greens were long and slow. Could have been possibly because it had rained hard for the past week. The greens looked like they had not been cut in a week so I am giving it three stars on Course Conditions.

The lay out is nice as most of the holes have great scenery for a N.TX golf course with lakes and trees.

I will most likely not play this course again. It is a three star course overall that is a great value at less than $30 to play with a cart most days. It would be a great place for new golfers.

Great course over all. Fun layout. Great condition from tee to green. Friendly staff, and great BBQ. But the pace of play was terrible. If this place gets a starter for organization and marshals to speed up pace of play, then this place will be great. Teed off at 11:30 and finished at 5. Way to long for a round of golf.

Course was a bit wet from recent rains, but greens were in good condition!

From the front door to the final hole, this place is a hidden gem right in the middle of DFW. Friendly staff, great food and an outstanding course design. We went for the first time last week and we are booked for a round at 12:15 today. Check this place out!!

Enjoyed the day of golf. Glad I got a hot deal and paid a cheaper rate. Course was in ok shape, there is some construction going on. Greens weren't the best, kind of bumpy, dry.

The course was in worse shape than I remember it when I previously played it a few years ago. It does have holes that present challenges, but overall, the course is fairly easy for the average amateur. There's a decent amount of water but virtually zero sand.

The greens were in very poor shape. I would not recommend this course to anybody except for the casual golfer who just wants to get 18 holes in.

I have been away from the DFW are for over 20 years. I used to play this course a lot in the 80's and 90's, I was excited to get a chance to play here again. The layout is pretty much what I remembered. On the surface Prairie Lakes doesn't' intimidate. There are, however, a lot of subtleties that make this course pretty challenging. Accuracy off the tee is a must. Almost every par three is over water, and the greens play a lot quicker than they look. A lot of undulation as well. I found the front desk staff to be adequate. I saw a lot of Marshall's around the clubhouse, but never saw one on the course. The Edelman restaurant workers, specifically the female staff, were atrocious. Service was poor, and the female staff acted like they were doing me a favor just waiting on me. The food was good, but over-priced.

Would I play Prairie Lakes again? Yes, but it will be awhile. There are a lot of other golf courses in the area that are more deserving of regular play.

Saturday was a beautiful day to play golf everyone wanted to play was not enough carts for all the players our foursome was

About the last group to get out on our tee time due to the cart situation. Play was not too slow for amount of people playing.

Hard to evaluate greens should be great a little later in the spring pen placement was difficult on several holes
