prairie lakes
It was perfect. Greens were well kept. 27 holes is very appealing so as not to play the same 18 every time. Carts well maintained.
I"d like to keep this place a Secret
The course (3 Nine Hole Courses) are all in great shape. Greens are large and in Excellent Condition.
4 sets of Tees - offer a challenge to all levels of players.
You will find Water (Hint Prairie Lakes) but no Bunkers. Play it Forward and you will have a great time .
You will be hard pressed to find a nicer course at this price point. The course is Walkable but there are no Cart Girls, so be advised. Staff is excellent. The 19th Hole is very popular - Try it....you'll like it.
Much Improved
I have played Prairie Lakes on and off for the last 5 years. Its one of the best value courses in the DFW metroplex. The Par 3's are one of the most difficult among the public courses in the DFW. In addition, the putting greens are in the best shape I've ever seen for this course. I would highly recommend this course to others.
Hot but fun
It was 100 degrees during our round, but the course had plenty of shade. The Red and White courses were a bit challenging but overall a great experience.
Great value
I play multiple municipal courses in the area, and this is one of the better values. Challenging par 3's. The greens are in good shape, and the variety between 9 hole courses makes it fun. I highly recommend
Excellent Value
Staff was friendly, course was great, pace of play was fast. Restaurant was excellent
Prairie Lakes was Heaven
I was greeted and provided excellent service. The staff member offered me the opportunity to go off early and I took him up. I played as a single and moved around the course quickly, skipping the 10th hole (#1 Red) to get by a foursome. I was able to play the skipped hole when I came up to finish the round.
Course conditions were as good as I have seen at any other DFW course. The holes offered variety of length, water features and trees. All in all, I had a wonderful time and will return in the near future.
Could not beat the price
GolfNow offered a $10 fee for 18 holes and a cart, so I'm all over this one. Incredible value for this course. Play this course often and is usually in very good condition. We have had a lot of rain so it is very lush at this time. Great place to play right now. Few groups on course today so our threesome played in 3:30.
Always a favorite challenge
I play here about once a month for the past 2 years since moving to the area. I like the variety the 4 different courses offer. I wish their carts had GPS to more easily reveal some of the hazards. But it was a fun round. The BBQ is excellent afterwards!
Fun Golf!
Nice golf course, friendly staff. The only thing that was lacking was GPS in the carts. This would have been helpful since it was my first time playing this course. A must for this course is lunch at the restaurant, great food at a reasonable price. Overall, a fun day on the course!
Course is in excellent shape !
Amazingly dry and playable given the epic rains. Carts were allowed off the path and most courses are not allowing this. Greens held and rolled great. Be aware the rough is unforgiving until they can mow those areas.
I don't mind driving from NRH to play this course as the price is right and the BBQ is very good !
A little muddy
There had been a lot of rain in the area in the weeks leading up to me playing, so the conditions were a little muddy. Nothing you can do about that. I found the course to be difficult at times and then it gives you a little break. The "Grand Bermuda Triangle" on the "White Course" was awesome to play! Makes the average golfer, like myself, feel like your at a PGA Tour event. Great value for the money. I will be playing again soon.
Nice course!
The only problem I had was a five some jumped in front of us, we were a two some. I had to call the Pro shop and complain. They did send out a Marshall and broke them up. They should have held them up and let us play through.
Lots of water hazards
Great course with lots of water hazards. Well maintained with plenty of playing options with three separate 9 hole courses. White, Blue, and Red.
First round, but not my last
This was my first time to play the course, Red and White. People I've played with have always had good things to say about it and now I will be one of them. The course is in very good shape and is challenging, but should not scare anyone away.
Great course
We played on an awesome Sunday afternoon after a stormy Saturday, the grass was wet/soggy but not enough to impact play, the course is beautiful with a lot of water hazards, the pace of play was acceptable for how busy the course was, it was an awesome round regardless of my score
Great day
I Played the Blue and White courses during the week around noon. they have really done a great job on the fairways, greens, and tee boxes. Both coures were in great shape. Only thing is that might have overbooked the course but the pace was still good.
Great 9 hole course
For the money this is great course to play it is surrounded by a lake so there are plenty of water holes.
