Tangle Ridge Golf Club's location near Joe Pool Lake is favorable because of the elevation changes that spice up this well maintained public course. The course offers some outstanding holes, highlighted by impressive bentgrass greens that putt true. In addition to the elevation changes, Jeff Brauer's design features generous fairways lined by thick brush and huge trees. Two holes grab your attention on the front side. The opener goes 469 yards and might be the most difficult on the golf course. While there aren't too many hazards, bunkers protect the fairway and green, and the thick rough lining the fairway makes it a difficult long approach if you miss the smooth stuff off the tee. Tangle Ridge Golf Club's eighth hole is considered the signature: a 575-yarder that rolls downhill off the tee to a creek that cuts the fairway at 300 yards out. The approach on no. 8 must carry the creek to an elevated green protected by two massive mounds.

Great overall course
Great course. Fairways were recently punched but still rolls pretty well. Inconsistent speed wise, but everything else is amazing about this course. Carts have GPS and speakers. Would like a cooler on them, but they did have a bev cart out on a weekday which was very useful.
Awesome course Great Value
Awesome course and in great condition coming back fro aerification. A little slow pace but still finished under 4 hours
Green's were rough
Great course with great staff, my only complaint is the greens weren't as well manicured as the rest of the course. It does however look like they've been taking the time to get them under control so hopefully they are just recovering as they were very bumpy and some parts the grass was longer than others. Will definitely be back and play again.
Great course
I enjoy playing this course except this time the greens was punched and they layed sand on it which really effected my putting it was fast on some and slow on others. Overall always enjoy playing this course.
Fun Course
Beverage cart was a little hard to find but still a great course and a lot of fun to play. A few slow pokes ahead of us but it happens. Good time and a forgiving course for a beginner/intermediate player.
Tangle Ridge Worth the Drive
I really enjoy the layout of this course. Some nice peak-a-boo views, open fairways, two par 5's on the front and 2 on the back ending with a fun par 3 on 17 and par 5 on 18. Plenty of shade for hot days. Carts have a club and ball wash, but would be nice if they attached a cooler. Pro shop staff are complete duds. Don't expect much from them, seems like an upgrade there would be good.. Overall, very fun course to play and a nice scenic drive to get there. I'll be back!
Cancelled Tee Time No Notice
I made a teatime on Tuesday for Saturday. On Saturday I went to GolfNow to get the address of the golf course. When I got there, I saw that my teatime had been canceled. When I called the golf course, they told me that they had made a mistake. They thought they had a tournament in the morning, but the tournament ended up being in the afternoon so they had to cancel all tee times, no notification was ever sent to me.
That sucks. Now I am scrambling to find another course to get on the 1 day I get to play each week.

Tangle Ridge
Great course layout, fairways and greens in good shape. Only problem honestly was some of the bunkers. Still was a great round!
Course is definitely worth the money
Had a great time, had a tee time at 4:00pm so had a better price and was still able to finish through 18 with 4 players.
Greens were well kept as well as the course. Definitely will be going back.
