About
Tangle Ridge Golf Club's location near Joe Pool Lake is favorable because of the elevation changes that spice up this well maintained public course. The course offers some outstanding holes, highlighted by impressive bentgrass greens that putt true. In addition to the elevation changes, Jeff Brauer's design features generous fairways lined by thick brush and huge trees. Two holes grab your attention on the front side. The opener goes 469 yards and might be the most difficult on the golf course. While there aren't too many hazards, bunkers protect the fairway and green, and the thick rough lining the fairway makes it a difficult long approach if you miss the smooth stuff off the tee. Tangle Ridge Golf Club's eighth hole is considered the signature: a 575-yarder that rolls downhill off the tee to a creek that cuts the fairway at 300 yards out. The approach on no. 8 must carry the creek to an elevated green protected by two massive mounds.

Great track, needs some improvements.
Tangle Ridge is a great golf course. Tee boxes are in great shape, greens were fairly slow on the front nine but that may have been due to watering. They did have good stopping and spinning power though! Fairways were dry so roll out was awesome on tee shots. Sand traps were in good shape as well.
The driving range however has a lot to be desired. Very dry and dusty with long grass. They would use some water there for sure.
Overall a fantastic golf course.

Greens rolled true even though they were still growing out from punching. Loved the layout. Fun to play a course with big greens.

Course in Good Shape for Current Weather
Course did not slow down until late in the round. With very hot weather, they provided ice and water in the clubhouse and on the course. Greens are back in shape after last month.

Greens held shots ok, but they putted a little bumpy from being punched 3 weeks before I played, but good overall. Looking forward to another round there. Very helpful and friendly course staff.

Course is fine but not worth it
The layout is interesting, but it’s still in super rough shape. I would never pay full price to play this course. Find another course that would be a bit more fun.

Bumped greens
Might be good conditions of greens after a month.
Aerifications and didn't cut the greens...
I knew always excellent maintained this courses.

Beautiful condition, except for the green due to aeration. When it was windy, pretty "challenging" layout. Recommend.

Getting there for the season
Greens were recently punched and sanded, putting can be limited to 2 putts and then move on for the sake of pace of play.
