About
Tangle Ridge Golf Club's location near Joe Pool Lake is favorable because of the elevation changes that spice up this well maintained public course. The course offers some outstanding holes, highlighted by impressive bentgrass greens that putt true. In addition to the elevation changes, Jeff Brauer's design features generous fairways lined by thick brush and huge trees. Two holes grab your attention on the front side. The opener goes 469 yards and might be the most difficult on the golf course. While there aren't too many hazards, bunkers protect the fairway and green, and the thick rough lining the fairway makes it a difficult long approach if you miss the smooth stuff off the tee. Tangle Ridge Golf Club's eighth hole is considered the signature: a 575-yarder that rolls downhill off the tee to a creek that cuts the fairway at 300 yards out. The approach on no. 8 must carry the creek to an elevated green protected by two massive mounds.

Tangle Ridge
Great day ran into two friends who I didn't know were going to be there.
They had t time at 1220 and mine was 12.
Pro shop let them join me.
Awesome that staff worked with us.
I also got a pretty good deal through Golf Now for round.

A Little chilly
It was a little chilly first 9 holes but speed of play was good.
Fairway and greens were on good shape .
Greens were definitely slower than last time I played here.

Great layout and smooth greens
Played here quite a few times and the layout is really good. The greens are smooth and challengingly fast. Very good value compared to other courses. Did not give 5 stars because the bunkers were not groomed in any way. If you get in one it makes sense to rake a spot and place your ball or play ground under repair.

Great Value!
The course is in great condition. Tee boxes, fairways, and greens are all in good shape. Greens roll well and true. Great course for the cost!

Great Round
I met another player who gave me a couple tips on my game.
What a day I never hit the ball better.
Course was great from fairway to green and even sand traps were good. I stayed out of sand all day except one hole.
Cart girl took excellent care of us.

Good Course, Good Value for Money
Pace of play was horrible. Parking lot not even half full. Called golf shop on 8 but nothing was done. Tee time was 1:00 and barely finished before dark. Fairways hard so lots of roll. Greens in good shape but some were very bumpy. That being said, still a great course and very good value for the money.

Great Course, Fair Price
Tangle Ridge is a fun course with lots of elevation changes and sloping fairways. Greens rolled mostly smooth, only a couple small problem spots on a couple of the holes. Greens were very big and had a lot of undulation which can make it a bit more challenging. Lots of bunkers in play both in the fairway and greenside.

Nice course, play was a little slow
Course was in good shape. Greens were nice. Play was good until #7 then it came to a screeching halt. Should have expected that on a Sunday afternoon.

Check in is always a circus here. One guy running the process. And for over a year it seems to be his first day using a computer. Four employees behind the counter. Only one working on check ins. Due to their computer skills a long line forms. The other three laughing and joking. Not a great optic from a customer service standpoint.
The greens were like putting on a head of broccoli. But I’ve seen much worse.
Despite these issues this is still a nice course and worth playing for the money.
