About
Tangle Ridge Golf Club's location near Joe Pool Lake is favorable because of the elevation changes that spice up this well maintained public course. The course offers some outstanding holes, highlighted by impressive bentgrass greens that putt true. In addition to the elevation changes, Jeff Brauer's design features generous fairways lined by thick brush and huge trees. Two holes grab your attention on the front side. The opener goes 469 yards and might be the most difficult on the golf course. While there aren't too many hazards, bunkers protect the fairway and green, and the thick rough lining the fairway makes it a difficult long approach if you miss the smooth stuff off the tee. Tangle Ridge Golf Club's eighth hole is considered the signature: a 575-yarder that rolls downhill off the tee to a creek that cuts the fairway at 300 yards out. The approach on no. 8 must carry the creek to an elevated green protected by two massive mounds.

Great course
Course is in very good shape for this time of year!! The only thing I can say negative is the greens would benefit by rolling them, they were alittle bumpy

It was a cold day
But for $38.41 for 18 holes it was worth it! Pace was great, I joined a group of 3 others that were full of “Texas hospitality”. It was a great round.
Tees, fairways, greens- it was fine, it’s winter so not green but dried out but cut well and kept up.
Bathroom: as a woman there is one near 6 or 7.. you can also get it on the back 9. Other is in the clubhouse cafeteria area.
Carts: GPS screens. Bring your own tees, water and towels.
I would recommend this course, the clubhouse was nice and polite and it was fairly busy for 50 degrees.

The Ridge
Tangle Ridge never disappoints. Hot Deals here are probably the best bang for your buck in the area. Course conditions are good. Greens difficult but fair. A pleasant 4 hour round awaits you. Definitely recommend to play

Two Thumbs Up
Coming from Plano where most courses are flat an uninteresting, this track is hilly, twisting, fair and in great condition. Fair price. Excellent staff. And who serves a $5 breakfast these days? Wow!
