Maryland National Golf Club

The course is in great shape right now. Got a bit slowed up behind a 60-person outing, but still a bit under 4 hour round, and seemed like just a nice walk in the park.

Course is in great condition. Despite getting 2 inches of rain greens were running 10+. Love the layout, only gripe is a couple of holes could use taller pins - I want to be able to see the flag from the fairway.

First of all golf course is awsome but pace of play is horrible we are two sum played weekday golf for 5hours and 30 min... there was no marshall to control over these pace of play i would not come here again

Maryland National is one of my Favorite Courses around the World. I always know what I’m going to get for the Long drive and Premium Green Fee. Great Course Lay-out In PRISTINE CONDITION, Fast Greens and Very Challenging. So I was Very Surprised too see the Condition of the course, Ive Never seen it so Bad. The Greens were Horrible. It Must Be the Up & Down Weather the area has been getting. I’m willing to Give them a pass because its the first time Ive been disappointed with a round at Maryland National. I Feel like I should get another Round on the House because that’s not the course Iknow and Love .

I am a frequent player in Maryland National. Probably it is one of the most picturesque public golf courses in DMV area. It’s late April, the course condition gets much better and the green is not as sandy as 10 days ago. I was paired with threesomes who don’t speak much English. They are not beginners but their pace was extremely slow. They took mulligans on every tee box. They bet, drank, shouted, and had a lot of fun by themselves, but they had no consideration for others. I found it very stressful to have open holes ahead and people waiting behind. I was stuck.

Despite having lived in MD >40 years, I had not played here. Nice layout, great scenery. Greens were spotty, but ran True.

This course is very tough , 6475 yards from the gold tees but easily plays 7000 given the elevation changes. Tee to green conditions were better than average for early in the season. Greens are deceivingly fast.

Maryland National is a very difficult but beautiful course near Middletown Maryland. The course is laid out over rolling hills with lots of up and down. It is surrounded by beautiful views of the Appalachian mountains.

It was a nice day. The wind was much calmer than the weather man expected. So the course was pretty busy even it was in the middle of week. Maryland National used to have a perfect condition when I played. However, the putting greens are all very sandy recently.

The golf course is great, but every time we go, the staff at the pro shop is very unfriendly and rude.

All good things about this course from the excellent course conditions to a well laid out and very playable yet somewhat challenging design. To the Pro in the shop checking us in as one in our group was running a little late but he was extremely accommodating and understanding, to the grounds crews that were super friendly as well as to the tavern folks that were out of the world nice and funny. Everyone made us feel like we were preferred members when actually it was my second time playing there and the first was 7 years ago. a must stop and an awesome time.

Most friendly grounds crew I’ve ever interacted with on a course; they obviously take pride in their work and the course shows.

Fast, tough greens. Good weekday rates, excellent fairways considering similar public courses in DC area

This course seems to always be in great shape. Because of the snow/rain the bunkers were not done. But everything else was in great shape. Greens rolled true. People working inside are always friendly. Great place to come and play. Only wish I lived closer. I drive an hour to play here.
