Prairie Lakes Golf Course - White Course

Pace of play was great even when crowded. Lots of water to carry on several holes - fun, fun!

Since I returned from 17 years of living in Woodstock Georgia, one of the nicest surprises that I have found is Prairie Lakes Golf Course - old Grand Prairie municipal. The layout hasn't changed and presents a challenge but is not overly difficult. The greens are always in outstanding condition and the rest of the course is maintained very well, especially for a muni! (That's the surprise - wasn't always that way!). This course with 27 holes is a great value option.

The course was in great shape, lots of golfers out which is a good thing. Great flow of traffic. Challenging course, excellent greens.

Staff is not the friendliest. Especially in the restaurant. Need to continue to work on it. They do not understand body language and how to properly address customers. Not rude but not professional either.

Very good course but pace to slow

Fairways are near perfect. Greens roll true. What else can you ask for?

Lots of trees, but open enough to find wayward shots. This is a course that looks like it should be easy with no traps & no thick woods, but then you see the great challenge (especially the white) that the par 3's present and that you can't spray tee shots all over the place due to the bit narrow fairways you really appreciate what a great course this is. Very fair, but not easy. Easy walking course. Greens are in fantastic shape. Good speed & true roll. In a nutshell this course is a true gem and the staff is very friendly. Great BBQ also.

Great track in excellent shape.. Some greens need a lil work, but overall greatness.. Gotta have some bbq while you're there.. Some KA stuff. Play it & eat it, u won't be disappointed

We played the Red and White courses. The fairways and greens are in excellent shape.

This course is always fun. Luckily it was a slower Sunday afternoon, as normally this place is packed out. I played the White/Red combo alone and flew through my round. The course was still wet from the recent rain, but was in very good shape. The greens were very nice.

Everyone talks about it - but it's true - the BBQ is so freaking good here. I ate twice, before and after my round - it's addicting.

A gem in the Metroplex. Excellent greens, par is not a given even when you're on the green in regulation. Great layout, great course.

Overall, I thought Prarie Lakes GC was a great value for the price. The staff was friendly and helpful. I don't hit range balls so I can't speak on it. As far as the course goes, it was in decent shape. The fairways had enough fluff to easily hit off of. The rough wasn't that punishing if you you got in it. The greens had some brown areas on them, but they were smooth to the putt and would hold a line. One of the best things about the course was the grill. The food is really good by golf course standards!

My brother and his friends play as much as we can,every time is a great time,players around the course are having a great game.

I like playing Prairie Lakes but need to play here more often. Narrow fairways with no sandtraps / bunkers on the course. Water hazards ( Creeks, Lake, Ponds) challenge your golf club selection and ability. A good lay-out and design.
