Prairie Lakes Golf Course - White Course

This course is always fun. Luckily it was a slower Sunday afternoon, as normally this place is packed out. I played the White/Red combo alone and flew through my round. The course was still wet from the recent rain, but was in very good shape. The greens were very nice.

Everyone talks about it - but it's true - the BBQ is so freaking good here. I ate twice, before and after my round - it's addicting.

A gem in the Metroplex. Excellent greens, par is not a given even when you're on the green in regulation. Great layout, great course.

Overall, I thought Prarie Lakes GC was a great value for the price. The staff was friendly and helpful. I don't hit range balls so I can't speak on it. As far as the course goes, it was in decent shape. The fairways had enough fluff to easily hit off of. The rough wasn't that punishing if you you got in it. The greens had some brown areas on them, but they were smooth to the putt and would hold a line. One of the best things about the course was the grill. The food is really good by golf course standards!

My brother and his friends play as much as we can,every time is a great time,players around the course are having a great game.

I like playing Prairie Lakes but need to play here more often. Narrow fairways with no sandtraps / bunkers on the course. Water hazards ( Creeks, Lake, Ponds) challenge your golf club selection and ability. A good lay-out and design.

This course has overall great holes and great challenges. It's well taken care of. Good amount of water hazards.

For paying under $15 for a whole round plus cart and for the condition and beautiful scenery of the course, my experience was awesome. I played the white and blue course. Both had very challenging holes with almost every par 3 having a water hazard on one side. I was the only one out there with no one in front or behind me, so it was a great opportunity to play a practice round to improve my game. Will be back again!

Three nice 9 hole courses. All three were in great shape and fun with nice greens. But the pace of play was very slow.

This was my first time playing Prairie Lakes and I was very surprised. It was a great public course, especially for the money. Incredible value and the course itself was in fantastic shape. Greens were in very good shape although there were a couple of areas where some weed infestations were starting to creep in. I thoroughly enjoyed the course and will definitely play it again...and soon.

I have played this off and on for last 30 years, have not played it much in last 10 years. This may the best condition I ever remember. This was 3rd time I played this course in last 10 days. I am going back soon.

Really good shape fairly short course but tight and challenging. Greens have some grain but putted pretty good Excellent value for the money.

The course was very nice. Clubhouse was very nice. Greens had just been verti cut but we're still nice. I would definitely play it again.

Prairie Lakes has three nine hole courses which the staff varies which course you start on. So it can be a different experience each time. Most par 3s are protected by water. The White course is my favorite 9 holes that I've played in DFW so far. I played this round shortly after it rained and the greens had been recently aerated. So putting was impossible due to the sand, but understandable. Also since it rained early that morning, the lawn mowers were still out during the round and usually they get all of that done earlier. Definitely did not ruin my experience and I'm excited to play there again soon!

Good value and nice challenged

If you shoot above your handicap on this course you need to hit the range. Greens are a little slow but overall not a bad course for the money. Great practice range and a huge practice green.

Course is in great shape. Staff is really friendly and we had a nice relaxing day.
