About
The Tattersall Youth Development Center at The First Tee Chesterfield Golf Course, as well as the First Tee of Richmond, was established to provide educational golf programs for junior players. This comprehensive learning facility includes an 18-hole golf course, a three-hole practice loop, a large grass practice tee, a putting green, and a short-game practice area. There's also a staff of qualified coaches and golf instructors that can help you improve your score no matter what your weakness is. As a learning course, it might not be what low handicappers are looking for if they want a challenge, but it's a perfect place for beginners and high handicappers to get some practice with the game. The layout is very forgiving with wide-open fairways that offer plenty of room. The greens are fast and sometimes framed with bunkers. There are several par-3 holes that will give you a chance to work on your short game.

First Tee Chesterfield
Course was in great shape considering all the rain we’ve had in last few days. Not many people on the course because of cart path only. My wife and I enjoyed our day.
Surprisingly fun!
I wasn't really expecting much with a par 66 golf course but this course is well-maintained and the layout is really great. Too bad they have the stupid policy about wearing masks which I felt like the attendant was rude about but other than that I had a great day!

A great short course
With the phased opening the course adheres to masks indoors, no need to remove the pin and the cup set up allows easy ball retrieval using a pool noodle. Course conditions are more than acceptable. It is evident the course is being cared for.
Carts in 1 hour 45 min from sundown?
I’ve been playing this course for years. It’s always in good shape, has good greens, and a fun layout. I enjoy it and will play here again...
But why sell 18 hole tee times with carts until 5:00pm when the carts have to be in at 6:30? We weren’t told when we paid that carts had to be in at 6:30. Only after we made the turn.
As a customer you feel ripped off paying $37 for 18 holes and being told you need to go back to the clubhouse on the 12th hole.
Maybe stop selling 18 hole tee times a little earlier in the day so others don’t have the same outcome?
First Tee
This course is great for a quick afternoon round. The greens are always in great condition and the course is maintained fairly well. I enjoy a quick outing here!

Greens were in very good condition, but I hate the extra-long rough that's around every bunker, and many of the greens.

Good course but
The course is great staff was great but they need starters out there and need someone riding around making sure pace is good had some people in front of us inconsiderate were not able to play by and had some people behind who were not adult or man enough to come ask us what's going on but called the club house... so simply put the people who play here dont have any edicate and pretty poor cowardly humas... but the course was great

A Fine Day!
Played 18 holes, with 2 other golfing buddies, and we had a nice day. Some wet spots, and water collection areas, but they did not affect the playing area.

Rate was a little higher than what I was used to. The golf course was find. Two of us played 18 holes in under 3 hours
Always Pleasurable
I'm 71 years old, and the 3800 yard length of this course, is perfect for me. I get just enough exercise, without wearing me out. Me and my buddy can get through 18 holes in 3 hours or less. The greens are in good shape, as are most of the sand traps. The fairway is growing in fine, and the only thing that bothers me, is very long and deep rough, around some of the greens. Overall, a great little golf course.
