Clear Creek Golf Course

I found the greens to be the perfect speed. Overall, for a Saturday afternoon, it was not too backed up and the course was fine.

Overall this course is a hidden gem. I’ve played it now a dozen times and it’s kept in good shape. Greens and tee boxes are well maintained. They got new gas carts in December. Only negative is pace of play still not being addressed or controlled. You can basically tee off any time you want with no Marshall and it’s a regular occurrence to get backed up 3 groups before you hit the turn. Played in a foursome and routinely caught a twosome in front.

Very reasonable rates and availability. Highly recommend. If they ever figure out that pace of play is important, if play more often.

Pace was extremely slow. 6 hours to play with no marshal trying to speed up slow group in front. Other than that, course was in pretty good shape

This course gets kicked around by a lot of golf snobs, but there's really nothing to complain about. The greens are in really good shape after a very slow start in the spring. That seems to be the case every year. Hopefully 2023 will start off better.

So Arcis is finally pumping money back into CC. New carts and greens slowly coming back. They even spent money on over seeding this year. They have cleaned up some of the water collection areas which is more aesthetically pleasant to see. Sand traps actually have some sand. Cart beverage out but they need more water stations on the course.

Pace of play is still a problem. (4.75 hours) The pace of play could be improved by possibly cutting down some more rough. I’ve seen players spend a lot time looking for lost balls. It’s a links style course. Make it faster! The greens are well protected by bunkers anyway.

5+ hours is too long to do anything…especially golf. No Marshall to help pace.

I have played here numerous times before and usually have a good time. We started off the round on time and things were going well for a while. About half way through the front nine we realized there was no cart girl which was a bit annoying but happens from time to time. By the time we got through 6 holes the pace of play had slowed considerably, we made the turn in about 2.5 hrs which is a bit slow but again happens from time to time, especially on a Sunday afternoon with nice weather. After spending a decent amount of time in the club house to get drinks and snacks at the turn (no cart girl) we set off on the back nine. 45 minutes later we were still waiting on the fairway on hole 11. We had seen no sign of a marshall all and realized we would only get 1-2 more holes in before the sun went down so we called it quits. Didn't expect to only get about 12 holes in teeing off at 1:10. This was very disappointing as we were otherwise very much enjoying the course.

I played on a hot deal random Tuesday for 16.99. Find a better course within a 100 mile radius for this price ! The greens were in fantastic shape, new friendly face in pro shop was a much needed addition. Kuddos to the maintenance team here !!!

Starter put a sour taste in everyone’s mouth being a completely rude. He was making fun of players hitting at the closer tees and loudly complaining about how the golfers “suck”
