About
The Highlands Course is probably the more stimulating of the two tracks at Wildcat GC, offering better views of the city, natural wetlands and grasses, and some intriguing flat sand bunkers. Case must have an affinity for the No. 7, because like the Lakes track, the 421-yard, par 4 hole 7 is the most difficult rated hole. Watch out for the par 5s on this one, three of which play at or above 570 yards from the tips.
Getting there : From downtown take Hwy. 288 south for 5 miles to Loop 610. Head west and find the Fannin exit, where you'll U-turn under 610 and drive east on the access road to Almeda Rd. Turn right on Almeda and the course is 3 miles further.

Perfect
I honestly was looking for a reason to give something 4 stars but it was all great. 10/10 experience on all fronts.
Great course
This is probably the best course in Houston. I love playing both highlands and the lakes course.
Beautiful course, facilities, friendly staff
Great course. First class facilities, very friendly staff. And fun environment. Exception maintenance of the carts, the course and the practice areas. I can't wait to play it again.
Last chance
The management just doesn't get it. This course has been on a downward spiral. If you want to spend over $100 for crap conditions, you do you.
SoSo
The greens had been punched and aerated and were slow and bumpy. Should have been told about that before booking. It was not worth the money.
If you love putting on carpets...
Course is for you if you like slow greens. Both courses are not worth $100+ dollars. No idea how they justify that price point. Go elsewhere for better greens. Gus Wortham has the best greens in Houston if you want to actually play the game of golf.
Could Have Been Better
Friendly staff, course was in good condition.
Issue is with the other patrons out on the course, unfriendly and foul-mouthed goons - kept hitting into us and ready to spar if we said anything, I'm guessing if we were black - it would have not been a problem. I've had same issue/s at Wildcat before. Really like the course, some of the patrons need to learn etiquette andhumility.
Played both courses in one day
Shot the same score on both courses. Really enjoyed my visit and will return. Two completely different golf tests. Worth your time.
