From the fairways of Irving (formerly known as Twin Wells), you can see the skyline of downtown Dallas–a nice aesthetic for this fun, user-friendly municipal. The course is mostly an open, links-style design, although a few holes that roll along the Trinity River favor a traditional-style on the back nine.
Hole 3 stands out on the front: a 437-yard dogleg left that is protected by fairway bunkers. On the back, No. 11 is the most difficult–another long par 4 at 451 yards.
Getting there : From Hwy. 183 east, take Loop 12 south and exit Shady Grove Rd. Turn left, drive a short distance to the course, look for the clubhouse on the right side of the street.

Excellent conditions!
Hard to believe this is a public course is able to maintain pristine greens and fairways in this Texas heat. They even provided a bottle of water and a towel to stay hydrated and dry in the heat. Will definitely be playing here again soon.
City owned?
Great for a muni if owned by city? Either way worth the hour and half drive thanks to golfnow
Nice Course
Course is in great condition. All greens but 2 were in perfect condition, the other two were an 8 out of 10, but more than acceptable. The layout is nice, but don't walk this course unless you're ready to make long walks from green to tee on many of the holes.

This course is in great shape for middle of July! Greens were fast but rolled great!
Please stay away… So I can have the course to myself.
I love Irving Golf Club. It’s just a fun layout, in excellent shape, with friendly staff, all at the right price. I wish it would go back to being the hidden gem it used to be because tee times are getting tougher to come by, but if you’re lucky enough to snag an early one, you’re in for a treat.
easy course and wide open
Nice improvements to the cart path. Well done by the good staff at the city of Irving.
But really now, why so expensive for seniors the play during the week? $47.50 is 20% too high for this course. Management has overstepped with the increase.

this is my second time playing it and it’s one of my favorite courses in the area for the price I like the layout, of course in great shape highly recommend
Course is not 4 out of 5 stars
Back nine is in better shape than the front nine. All the greens were punch previously so any putt was just luck if it went in. We had to use gimmies if the putts were inside 4 feet. Nothing was mentioned at the pro shop of the greens.

It's hard to keep up a public course in the Dallas heat but they do a great job. May be one of the best public courses in all of Dallas
I think it's managed properly.
A long time ago, Irving Club was a golf course called Twinwell, and at that time, it was the worst golf course because the golf course was not properly managed, but now Irving Club seems to be properly managed, so I think I visit it often. Golf course management is financially expensive, but it seems to be managed properly, given that it is continuously managed.
