Irving Golf Club
About
From the fairways of Irving (formerly known as Twin Wells), you can see the skyline of downtown Dallas–a nice aesthetic for this fun, user-friendly municipal. The course is mostly an open, links-style design, although a few holes that roll along the Trinity River favor a traditional-style on the back nine.
Hole 3 stands out on the front: a 437-yard dogleg left that is protected by fairway bunkers. On the back, No. 11 is the most difficult–another long par 4 at 451 yards.
Getting there : From Hwy. 183 east, take Loop 12 south and exit Shady Grove Rd. Turn left, drive a short distance to the course, look for the clubhouse on the right side of the street.

u176449870, thank you for the awesome rating! We hope to see you again at the course very soon for another great experience, and thanks for choosing Irving Golf Club.
Great course
Had a great time with good pace. Course was fun and provided a slight challenge but nothing too crazy! Will play again
We love hearing about our golfers' experiences, Marc3861797. Please tell us more about what you enjoyed during your round. Thanks for choosing Irving Golf Club!
Fun course but bad pace
Ended up teeing off about 20 minutes late. 2 groups of 4 ahead of us were being held up by a group of TWO, this should never happen. Nearly a 5 hour round because 2 people were holding up 16 other players including the group behind us. Then on the back nine a group of 3 drove up in front of us and slowed us down even more, marshall was called but never seen. Love the course layout but pace was a major issue

Course much improved since the redesign. Greens are very slow but can understand not cutting them too low since they are new..
Adult supervision needed
5 hour round. One group backed up course. No marshal managing pace of play. By 13 the foursome didn’t have a sober member. The pace ruined a beautiful course and idyllic weather
Slowest round in Dallas
Every hole has 3 or 4 groups waiting on the tee box. They claim to have marshals but pace of play disputes that.
Course of the Flies
Last played this course in 2012 when it was known as Twin Wells. The redesign is an improvement, & the course is convenient to Loop 12. Unfortunately, my GPS watch was not particularly effective on the back nine because of the hole rerouting.
Played a late afternoon round here at a good price point.
Particularly on the back nine, I became concerned that I hadn't applied enough mosquito repellent because of the bites my legs were incurring. Upon investigation in the days that followed, they were probably biting flies.
Agree with others that future scorecards include a map of the course. Don't recall seeing a cart person. Nice touch providing golfers with bottled water prior to the round.
The tee shot at #10 (from an elevated tee) is blind in that you can't see where your ball lands if you hit it near the ravine. Large pond in front of the green on the par 3 12th. #18 is a challenging par 3 in that the tee shot is to an ELEVATED green with undulations.
Pace of play and drink cart.
Guys the course is GREAT. But the pace of play today was TERRIBLE. And we never saw the drink cart all day.
Swing away
First time playing this course and both google and apple maps took me to wrong location. Not sure if it is a map problem or an address problem. This is a wide open course with some strategically placed hazards. Well maintained and staff was friendly. Heavy dew the morning we went so not able to give much description on fairways or greens. The wide open course leads to better scores so if you need a boost to your ego definitely give this one a shot. Nice views of dallas. Mosquitoes were real bad so make sure to bring some spray.
Quality and value
Customer service was great. Friendly and welcoming. Course is in good shape. Can see improvements have been made since I played last.
Hi, u5516112. Thank you so much for the great review. We are glad you had an incredible time, and we hope to see you again soon! Thanks for choosing Irving Golf Club.
First time
Great experience
The only thing I would change is:
Put the golf course layout on the scorecard. The hole markers don’t even have the layout. It is not fun to hit blind shots.
Thanks
Hi, SDBuff. We are so pleased that you enjoyed your time at Irving Golf Club. We look forward to seeing you on the course soon for another 5-star experience!
Good times!
This course is pretty easy fun. Descent shape. I would rather pay around $40 for this instead. Would come back though!
Hello and thank you for your 5-star rating, u176449870! We're delighted you enjoyed your round. Please book another round with us soon, and thanks for choosing Irving Golf Club!
