Irving Golf Club
About
From the fairways of Irving (formerly known as Twin Wells), you can see the skyline of downtown Dallas–a nice aesthetic for this fun, user-friendly municipal. The course is mostly an open, links-style design, although a few holes that roll along the Trinity River favor a traditional-style on the back nine.
Hole 3 stands out on the front: a 437-yard dogleg left that is protected by fairway bunkers. On the back, No. 11 is the most difficult–another long par 4 at 451 yards.
Getting there : From Hwy. 183 east, take Loop 12 south and exit Shady Grove Rd. Turn left, drive a short distance to the course, look for the clubhouse on the right side of the street.

Overbooked and no marshall
We were on pace for a 6:30 round and quit on 16. No Marshall telling people to speed up and they were having people tee off every 5 minutes
Course is beautiful
Everything’s great about this place. Only issue I come across is slow golfers, and not having someone come out to speed to slow pokes up. Most courses I play will have someone driving around making sure
Wow! We are so happy you enjoyed your round, RezaMontes! We look forward to seeing you again soon at Irving Golf Club.
Excellent place to play for the weekend duffer
This course is actually a little gem. It’s not difficult. It’s wide open, no houses around so you won’t be knocking out windows with your bad shots. The fairways are kept cut very short so you’ll get loads of roll on your tee shots. The rough areas are also well kept so you can find your ball fairly easily as long as you don’t go out of bounds. The greens are massive and fast. The tee boxes are a little beat up but not the worst I’ve seen at much more expensive courses in the area. The cart paths are a bit uneven and have some separation in the concrete. The carts are new, fast and brake very well. All in all, I had a great time on this course. It’s not for someone that wants to compete. It’s for the regular Joe weekender who is working on improving their game and having a great time doing it. I’ll definitely be back. Thanks guys!
Flies right now
I have played this course a few times. The course is in good condition & the greens roll true. The only issue right now is there are flies that swarm & bite your ankles. This was not the case when I played here two weeks ago. Hopefully they can get this figured out quickly, because it is maddening at the moment. It's impossible to focus on a shot or putt with these bugs tickling or biting you. I asked other golfers in other groups & it was a course wide issue, not just our group. The course is a great value & the staff is wonderful so I hope I can play here again soon. For now be warned that if you want to play here, wear tall socks & pants.
Like the changes
I played this as its former name many times. I really liked the changes. The course is in good condition. The layout provides plenty risk/reward. The greens ran well with the pins in some tough spots. Range to warm up and a 19th hole for drinks afterwards. Staff was great. Great value to get some work done for the game.
u000007099843, thank you for your kind words! We hope to see you again at the course very soon for another 5-star experience. Thanks for choosing Irving Golf Club.
I'll be a return customer
Course was in very good shape. Please with all the improvements they have made to this course. Greens were awesome.

Decent course, excellent greens
Usually when you pay only $30 for a course, you don't expect much. The layout of the course is decent. What makes this place stand out is the greens. This is where the greenskeeping money goes. They are in excellent condition. They were as good as some of the private courses I have played. This alone would make me want to play here again.
Good value
Very good value. Greens in very good shape. Fairways are not difficult to hit. Distances reasonable.
Continued improvement
Fairways bit more turf than earlier this year. Greens still consistent and roll well. Good value.
Great Course Now
This course is Beyond Better than it was before the renovation. Only thing that keeps it from getting 5 Stars is, Why not finish the renovation. Several of the cart paths need to be totally redone. Also can someone please pay more attention to TEE BOXES. They need water and grooming just like the rest of the course.
We love hearing about our golfers' experiences, schwabra. Please tell us more about what you enjoyed during your round. Thanks for choosing Irving Golf Club!

Nice course, good value
Irving is a nice course for the 15+ handicap golfer. Nice layout...challenging but not soul-crushing. Normally good pace of play
A Little Disappointed
I have played this course several times since it opened. I was surprised to see how dry the front nine fairways were compared to the back nine. With all the rain we have had, this is the only course I have played in he DFW area recently that had dry/hard surface fairways. After the turn at hole 9, we went into the concession area which was totally full of the Little League ball players/family members which is next to the course. We waited in line for 10 minutes only to be told they would not have hot dogs ready for 30 minutes. They had one sandwich that our group split up. I understand that the concession area does well with that type of business, from the baseball kids, but I would remind the staff that the concession area is for the golfers. It is unacceptable to not have food for golfers at the turn, and to make the wait longer than it should. The cart girl was not on the course, but was helping the lone person behind the counter for all the extra folks dining. I think this could have been executed a bit better than our experience.
u314160499889, thank you for the awesome rating! We hope to see you again at the course very soon for another great experience, and thanks for choosing Irving Golf Club.
