Irving Golf Club
About
From the fairways of Irving (formerly known as Twin Wells), you can see the skyline of downtown Dallas–a nice aesthetic for this fun, user-friendly municipal. The course is mostly an open, links-style design, although a few holes that roll along the Trinity River favor a traditional-style on the back nine.
Hole 3 stands out on the front: a 437-yard dogleg left that is protected by fairway bunkers. On the back, No. 11 is the most difficult–another long par 4 at 451 yards.
Getting there : From Hwy. 183 east, take Loop 12 south and exit Shady Grove Rd. Turn left, drive a short distance to the course, look for the clubhouse on the right side of the street.

VERY WET
I saw a huge boat with a bunch of animals and an old man on the 4th fairway. It could have been Noah's Ark.
Very rainy conditions, but that's not the IGC's fault. Can't say enough about the improvements made on and off the course. Very good value and interesting layout. I'll have to return again when we can use carts instead of canoes.
Rude
Manager rude. Treated me and wife like criminal, asking same questions multiple times to imply we liar. Golf should be relaxing without drama or bias. Oh well, public course
fairways only thing
When fairways get some needed turf the track will be great...While drives will be shorter, the ability to take a divot and create some spin will return. The greens are FANTASTIC but hard to hold with lack of spin...Still a great value.
First Time Playing Here
It was a great day on the links. 7:20 tee time went off without any hitches. Very friendly starter and course marshals. Pace of play was good, the course was in great shape.
Always a bit tricky when you play a course for the first time but a few things would make it a better experience. We could ha e used some distance markers and of course GPS in the carts would be better. I recommend this course my rating is 8/10 but am playing again this week. Kimberly and her staff are excellent. Please keep up the great service to us customers.
Respectfully,
WH
Fun layout
Very hard fairways and tee boxes. Either water a ton or let the grass grow a little.. Punished several times in fairway with tight, bald lies. Same with barely missed greens, no grass to hold a ball.
Fair value
This course is an ok course for a quick nine after work. The greens are really well maintained but the fairway are pretty sparse and burned out in some areas. I know it’s summertime but I’ve played a few other courses that this has not been an issue with. If they could add some grass and less dirt it would bring the value of the course up imo
Great Value
Becoming a favorite to play, course in good shapre save the hard fairways...While provides longer drives, tough to generate a divot-especially if you play the ball down. Greens in terrific shape and course very playable. Wonderful staff and beverages reasonably priced. Fun course to play.
Irving Golf Club
The course has an interesting layout with a few blind shots into greens. Some of the tee boxes are in desperate need of grass. The greens are in great shape and look well maintained.
They are also putting 2 people into riding carts. A move that I'm sure we will see in more DFW courses very soon.
Overall it's a fun course and will book here again.
Best greens in Dallas
Excellent course and probably the best greens in Dallas. Course layout is ideal for the intermediate player and the fairways are in great condition. Really fun course to play at an affordable price! Will definitely be playing here again soon.
HORRIBLE
Might have potential, but far less quality of course than other public courses in area. Shiny carts and new bar in clubhouse doesn’t cover up the bad course conditions.
Real Surprise
Enjoyed the staff and course. Greens superb and while not a creative track, very enjoyable to play with potential to score...Will certainly return as a great value.
solid golf course
This is an above average golf course.. my third time playing...holes have enough variety..conditions are decent - par 3 at the end is interesting.. I walked - good course to do this..not too many hills...for 30-40 dollar price point I think it is a good deal
