Irving Golf Club
About
From the fairways of Irving (formerly known as Twin Wells), you can see the skyline of downtown Dallas–a nice aesthetic for this fun, user-friendly municipal. The course is mostly an open, links-style design, although a few holes that roll along the Trinity River favor a traditional-style on the back nine.
Hole 3 stands out on the front: a 437-yard dogleg left that is protected by fairway bunkers. On the back, No. 11 is the most difficult–another long par 4 at 451 yards.
Getting there : From Hwy. 183 east, take Loop 12 south and exit Shady Grove Rd. Turn left, drive a short distance to the course, look for the clubhouse on the right side of the street.

HORRIBLE
Might have potential, but far less quality of course than other public courses in area. Shiny carts and new bar in clubhouse doesn’t cover up the bad course conditions.
Real Surprise
Enjoyed the staff and course. Greens superb and while not a creative track, very enjoyable to play with potential to score...Will certainly return as a great value.
solid golf course
This is an above average golf course.. my third time playing...holes have enough variety..conditions are decent - par 3 at the end is interesting.. I walked - good course to do this..not too many hills...for 30-40 dollar price point I think it is a good deal
Irving Golf Club
The course used to be Twin Wells. If you have a GPS watch, make sure it's up to date or it may not be accurate. The greens are in good shape, they were recently punched and have rebounded nicely. Its a fun layout, with reachable par 5s. Bunkers are in front of a lot of greens making some blind shots into the green. Overall this is a fun course that I will play again.
Great Value
Great course to play for the cost. Only complaint I had was that there are not any yardage stakes to inform you of your distance, need a range finder for this course.
Really Great Course
The layout is designed really well as it’s fairly open on most holes. The greens were in phenomenal condition and considering it’s rained the last few days the fairways were in really good shape. Clearly as we deal with Covid 19 there aren’t as many people out there, so pace of place is skewed but with that said I played 18 in just under 2 1/2 hours. I’ll be back soon.
Wide Open
This course is coming back! It's wide open but the greens are well guarded and good putts are rewarded.
Outstanding Redesign
I played this course when it was Twin Wells. The new redesign is outstanding! The course has both challenging and some easy holes. It’s brown now due to winter but I can’t wait to play it when the grass is nice and green.
20 Awesomes!
Loved the course, my friend and I played there for the first time and we both had the best scores we've ever had. I know I put 5 stars for everything, but thats because it was awesome! We even had to use cart path only due to the rain we received a couple days before, but still had a blast. We can't wait to go back!
really.really
started reamed one of us for forgetting his receipt on the counter. gave my 32oz cup to the woman in the snack bar for a coke refill. she told me she could not fill my cup she would have fill their 16 oz cup charge me $2 na di could pour it in my cup.61 years of golf NEVER had this happen.asked how much for a replay was tokd $15 ,find said put all three of us on this card....handed me the slip to sign....$75 on the charge.. maybe he has trouble with 3 X 15. said opps.!! were told cart path only..because it was still new....told him hadn't been the last 6 times!!
Golf Now Addition
Check in was great, got some drinks and bar attendant was pleasant. Two people didn’t show so they let us tee off a few minutes early. Had a group on us immediately but pace of play picked up as round progressed. Slight drainage problem but was manageable
Glad they’re on golf now but did hear some other guys having a problem with the golf now.
Greens in great shape
The course was redesigned and is more challenging than before. The greens were in great shape for a winter tee time. The staff was extremely friendly.
One of the Better Courses I Have Played
The course was fairly new at the time of play (2 months since opening). Everything about the course was wonderful other than the smell from the Trinity River that runs alongside two of the holes (one green, one tee box). Aside from that, I suggest that any golfer give it a go! I enjoyed it immensely and I continued to play here during my time in college.
Being Generous
Upon getting there everything was going well when warming up and chipping. Then I noticed people did not hit all their range balls, so after chipping I headed to the range to hit maybe 20-30 golf balls left on the range and a worker came down to tell me I could not hit them. I asked why and he told me the lady working the front office said that I did not pay for range balls, which was true I didn’t. I was amazed! Never has this happened to me before, even the worker the lady had tell me I couldn’t hit the range balls was surprised. This was not the way to start my round off, she seemed polite when I was checking in.
Overall the course was in decent condition for the winter time. I really encourage people who are above a 15 handicap to play this course because it is very forgiving and short. The greens were in solid condition and consistent, not sloped much at all except one green which is on hole 10 or 11 I believe. I enjoyed playing this course for the first time and hope to see it in great condition for the summer. I will be back and if I see range balls again I will attempt to hit them without paying as well!
