About
Located in the town of Kingsland on the shores of Lake LBJ, Lighthouse Country Club features 18 holes set in a charming, hill country in the heart of the Highland Lakes. The course was originally built in 1968, winds through scenic Hill Country property full of oak trees and red granite rock outcroppings. From many points, Packsaddle Mountain, one of the Hill Country's highest points, is in view from many spots on the course.
Lighthouse was formerly named Packsaddle Golf Club until the name changed in the fall of 2011 when new owners Rick & Mercy Howe purchased the bankrupt property and revitalized the golf course. Part of the enhancement was the construction of a brand new lighthouse at the clubhouse. In addition on on-course enhancements, Lighthouse constructed a handful of two-bedroom condos for stay-and-play packages and longer term winter homes.
In addition to the golf course, the facility also features a driving range, short game area and a full restaurant, bar and banquet facility.

Hot, fun
Course in great condition and uses that natural topography and landscape well. First tee time we could get was noon, do the heat was mostly out fault. They could use more drinking water on the course. Fast greens and fun times.

Great track, friendly staff
I always enjoy playing this course on my annual golf trip. Plenty of scoring opportunities but you can also get in trouble if you get careless. Seems to be continually improving from year to year. Staff is always friendly and accommodating

Fun track
Was for the most part in great condition and a fun layout! One hole in particular with giant rock beds exposed was super neat!

Fun Hill Country Course
Doug is terrific in the Pro Shop. Course plays excellent. Good greens, nice bunkers & a lot of water. Tremendous layout with some fairly straight holes and some where shots have to be shaped to play the hole. Great course. Very highly recommend.

Outstanding golf course
Day starts with saying hello to Doug, who is always a pleasure to see then on to the nice driving range and putting green. Then the game begins on an excellent course with water, sand and nice challenging holes. Water is available, to drink, on the course which is helpful in the hot days we enjoy so much. Greens are quick and putt true. Beautiful layouts on many of the holes which make for some fun strategies to play them. All-in-all, a wonderful Hill Country golf course.

Excellent hill country course
Always fun to play this very nice course. Greens better and better. Enjoyable. Staff is outstanding. Water available on course. Challenging holes. Highly recommend.

Very good confition
I would have rated the condition a 5 but the greens were sanded recently. That being said the greens were in great shape

Hot deal at Lighthouse
Fun day on a fun course. I signed up for a hot deal and it was HOT! The breeze kept it comfortable and the course has really greened up on the fairways and makes for better ball striking. Wonderful golf course!

Enjoyable couse
First time playing here. The course was in great condition. We just happened to play at a busy period that day. The deer walking around the course didn't mind sharing the place with us.

Outstanding Course - really beautiful
Doug, at the club house is excellent. Very professional and helpful which got the day started nicely. Golf course is nothing short of outstanding. Fairways are luscious and bunkers are smooth and greens are fast. Challenging and fun course to play. 18 holes of play goes by too quickly. One of our favorite courses to play.

In Great Condition
Greens were in great shape--fast but could still keep the ball on the green with iron shots. Fairways were green and well maintained. Tee boxes were a bit worn, but not horrible. Bunkers are granite sand but playable. Interesting course layout with topography, water hazards, bunkers, and trees (cedar and oak).
