About
Located in the town of Kingsland on the shores of Lake LBJ, Lighthouse Country Club features 18 holes set in a charming, hill country in the heart of the Highland Lakes. The course was originally built in 1968, winds through scenic Hill Country property full of oak trees and red granite rock outcroppings. From many points, Packsaddle Mountain, one of the Hill Country's highest points, is in view from many spots on the course.
Lighthouse was formerly named Packsaddle Golf Club until the name changed in the fall of 2011 when new owners Rick & Mercy Howe purchased the bankrupt property and revitalized the golf course. Part of the enhancement was the construction of a brand new lighthouse at the clubhouse. In addition on on-course enhancements, Lighthouse constructed a handful of two-bedroom condos for stay-and-play packages and longer term winter homes.
In addition to the golf course, the facility also features a driving range, short game area and a full restaurant, bar and banquet facility.

The course was immaculate, the greens were fast and pure and it was amazingly green and well maintained. Definitely worth a trip to play and can’t wait to go again

Another fun day at Lighthouse
Arrived during a slight gap and was efficiently checked in and sent out. Our twosome caught up to others on the 8th hole and waited, but at the turn the large group let us play through and we finished the back 9 without any other delays. The course is in great condition and the greens are fast and true. Best bang for your buck!

Great Golf
This is a very good test of your entire golf game. The course was in great shape. The greens are lightening fast and undulating. It is visualy appealing course.

Hot, fun
Course in great condition and uses that natural topography and landscape well. First tee time we could get was noon, do the heat was mostly out fault. They could use more drinking water on the course. Fast greens and fun times.

Great track, friendly staff
I always enjoy playing this course on my annual golf trip. Plenty of scoring opportunities but you can also get in trouble if you get careless. Seems to be continually improving from year to year. Staff is always friendly and accommodating

Fun track
Was for the most part in great condition and a fun layout! One hole in particular with giant rock beds exposed was super neat!

Fun Hill Country Course
Doug is terrific in the Pro Shop. Course plays excellent. Good greens, nice bunkers & a lot of water. Tremendous layout with some fairly straight holes and some where shots have to be shaped to play the hole. Great course. Very highly recommend.

Outstanding golf course
Day starts with saying hello to Doug, who is always a pleasure to see then on to the nice driving range and putting green. Then the game begins on an excellent course with water, sand and nice challenging holes. Water is available, to drink, on the course which is helpful in the hot days we enjoy so much. Greens are quick and putt true. Beautiful layouts on many of the holes which make for some fun strategies to play them. All-in-all, a wonderful Hill Country golf course.
