About
Originally opened in 1938 as a nine-hole course, Landa Park Golf Course has since expanded by 52 acres in 1969 to make it an 18-hole course. Although it is on the shorter side, the golf course is still entertaining for golfers of all skill levels. Bordering the Comal River, there are some water hazards coming into play on the course. The fairways are wide and there are not many difficult approach shots, making it a more player-friendly golf course. Landa Park Golf Course features small, undulating greens and there are mature trees lining the fairways. Although it is fairly forgiving, Landa Park does have some challenges, including the lengthy par-5 fourth hole that stretches over 550 yards.

Best course conditions during the winter
Landa Park is the best kept public course in the San Antonio/New Braunfels region. We play there at least twice a month, even though we live in San Antonio. The greens were smooth and fast and the fairways had grass.

Very crowded.
The course is fine but was very crowded and play extremely slow. My wife and I paid for 18 but gave up
after 9 which took almost 3 hours to play.
We apologize for the pace of play issue you experienced. We always try to keep a great pace when having our golfers on the course. greens are pretty fast
played late Janurary and the greens were very fast. Played again 2-6-23 and they were better but still easy to over putt. Corse is pretty busy.

Excellent as always
Even though it was cool (56 deg) it was a good day for golf at Landa Park. Got a good deal for walking and the staff is always super friendly. The only negative I had was that we finished our round at around 5:30 pm and the clubhouse was closed, so was not able to go in for a beer and snack. In spite of that I had a good time. will definitely be returning for more rounds this year.

Great Municipal Golf Course
Second time playing here in a week. It’s not an easy course but fun. Lots of deer everywhere. Considering the drought throughout Texas, the course has been very well maintained, unlike many others in the area. . Teeing ground a bit iffy, fairways actually had grass and the greens amazing, difficult and fast. Awesome value.

Landa Park is best public course around San Antonio/New Braunfels area
