About
Originally opened in 1938 as a nine-hole course, Landa Park Golf Course has since expanded by 52 acres in 1969 to make it an 18-hole course. Although it is on the shorter side, the golf course is still entertaining for golfers of all skill levels. Bordering the Comal River, there are some water hazards coming into play on the course. The fairways are wide and there are not many difficult approach shots, making it a more player-friendly golf course. Landa Park Golf Course features small, undulating greens and there are mature trees lining the fairways. Although it is fairly forgiving, Landa Park does have some challenges, including the lengthy par-5 fourth hole that stretches over 550 yards.

Fun
The course is in great condition! This was my first time playing it and I enjoyed every whole from start to end! Watch out for deer!
It's a mixed bag
There are no course marshals so anything goes once you tee off. The starter only checks to make sure you have a tee-time. Do you have 5 in your group later... no problem. Slow pace of play... no problem. Do you want to change groups or even split to create a new group on hole 10, why not? Do you want to drive your cart up to the edge of the green - it's Texas, drive the friendly way. Do you like to play from the other fairway off every tee - then boy do we have a course for you!
The course is fun and almost always in good shape despite the ridiculous behavior you see EVERY single time you golf there.
We apologize for the pace of play issue you experienced. We always try to keep a great pace when having our golfers on the course. Great day golfing
This was my first time golfing. Before this ive only ever used a range. Staff was nice but also alittle crabby. I played from 4pm to sunset and i had a really great time. Ill be returning soon hopefully with less swings than before :)

Awesome Course
Enjoy playing this course and today the conditions were close to perfect. Beautiful sunny day and temps in the high 50s, great for walking. The course is very walker friendly and great conditions, just watch out for those greens, they will eat your lunch if you do not concentrate on them. One of my favorite holes is 13, if you can get your drive in the right spot the ball will roll giving you an opportunity to go for the green in 2. The staff are very friendly, accommodating and always welcoming. Would recommend this course to anyone that ones to enjoy a round of golf but also enjoys a bit of a challenege.

Best in area
Been here several times and Landa was in great condition. Fairways and greens are well kept and manicured. Pace was somewhat slow but had a great time.

Great experience!!
I had a great round of golf Thursday , so I booked a tee time for Friday . The course was in great shape, especially for the amount of play this course gets. The gentleman in the pro shop was very friendly and really helped me with my tee time and cart. The wildlife and the river on the course was beautiful, it is a fair but challenging course, if you are in the new Braunfels area I recommend you giving it a try. Next time in town I will definitely play Landa park again.

Great experience!
My first time playing Landa park was great,, from the friendly gentleman that welcomed me to the course in the clubhouse, the young lady at the pub, to the gentleman sending off tee times . The course was beautiful, the river views, the deer, and all the wildlife was really a treat . If I could give it 10 stars I would. My best review is that I’m playing it again tomorrow. If you haven’t played Landa park, play it soon!

Excellent course for a great price
The course was well kept and in excellent condition. The layout was challenging but exceeded expectations. The course amenities were adequate and I highly recommend this course to anyone. One of the best municipal courses I have ever played.

OUT FREAKING STANDING
I’ve played the course a few times with my group and we don’t get an opportunity to rate the course so went and played with a good and really appreciate the overall cleanliness, superb conditions and Great Value you receive at Landa. Definitely my Top 3 courses to play the San Antonio area

Overcrowded
Yes we had a late tee time and had expectations to only play 9 holes, but our 4pm start time was actually 420 due to backup on 1st tee.
It took 30 minutes to play first 2 holes once teed off, and only played 7 holes for the day.
Very disappointed in the lack of course marshaling.
