Osprey Point Golf Club - Falcon/Raven Course
About
Situated on what used to be farmland and later used for shellrock mining, Osprey Point Golf Club is hardly recognizable from its former landscape. The Parks and Rec Department of Palm Beach County took the abandoned land in South County Regional Park that was completely overgrown and turned it into Florida's first Audubon International Classic Signature Golf Course. To achieve this designation, the department instituted several environmental protection practices, increased the acres of natural habitat, and converted to more environmentally friendly grass on the tees, greens, and fairways. The golf course offers 27 holes that are played in three different combinations. The Falcon/Raven Course is one of the combinations. It has a rolling landscape that is enhanced by native vegetation and a playable quality thanks to five sets of tees.

Review
Corse is in great shape-
Driving range sucks - bid time- no grass left , just green sand fill to make it look like grass. Iron shots are like playing out of a fairway bunker- pitiful!
Everything else is great as far as course conditions
New bar in grill is awesome
The rub- course does not take your player discounts from Golf Nows - golf pass, so you pay full price
Cart path only
A course to be enjoyed because of the fairways and greens and the challenge is club selection because from the Blue Tees, driver is not always necessary.
Cart path only today because of the soggy conditions.
Would love to return and play it in better weather.
Excellent public course
The course has great practice facilities. Course is well maintained and the fact there are 3 nine hole courses you don’t have to worry about dealing with greens that have been freshly punched.
Right Back At You
When Management closes this public golf course for private events they flip the bird at the hundreds of loyal, year-round golfers who, day-to-day, form the backbone of this course. So, right back at ya.
Review
Been Swahili since I’ve played here- tough to get a tee time. The corse is in great shape.
Range is ok, chipping area needs flags in the holes
Course bunkers are a bit inconsistent
Nice new restaurant- that’s a big plus
Cart girl is always a good thing
Very good course. !!
Had a great time. Got paired up with two nice guys to play with.
Good lies all around
The practice facility is awesome. No mats on the range--just grass. There is a large putting green and a separate chipping green. Prepare to tee off on the dot haven't been let out early yet. There are 27 holes to help pace of play but i still find pace of play with 4 people to run about 3:30-4 hours.
The course is adjacent to the everglades so there is much natural environment and wildlife, its really cool. Actually did see the bobcat!
Best thing about this course is that its in such great shape always. It's eco friendly grass and its always plush fairways and smooth greens. Little pricey but if you care about the course conditions its worth it.
Beautiful, challenging layout. Use longer tees.
Enjoyed playing this beautiful course. The layout is tight, with lots of lateral penalty areas and beautiful scenery. Turf is well kept and greens roll nicely. Play from the gold or black tees if you normally play from the blues in other courses.
Problems @ A great place
I want to start by saying that this is usually one of my favorites courses and facilities to play at when I can get in. The problem as of late is multi-fold. First off they have to do something about their driving range. Last few times there, the driving range has been incredibly chewed up and it is next to impossible to hit a ball off the ground without bringing up a massive amount of sand/dirt into your face or the guy in the station right next to you or for you to get a face full of sand/dirt from the guy hitting beside you. If they don't plan to work at this then they should purchase mats to hit off of. Second, there was no putting green and no mention that it was under repair prior to getting to the facilities. Thirdly and for some incomprehensible reason, I was charged $54 whereas my playing partner was charged less (I think it was $47 w range balls incl'd) even though I made the reservation on GOLF NOW for both of us. When I asked about this they gave me some bizarre explanation (about booking through GOLF NOW) that ultimately made no sense so I let it go but obviously it's still on my mind. Never saw a ranger which would have been nice considering somehow the group ahead of us had 5 players in their group and behind us some really loud obnoxious group that were completely distracting. Again I am usually not one to complain or even post reviews but this was such a let down of an experience to a facility which is usually such a great day out. At least the staff continue to be friendly but it's going to make me rethink about going there for a while.
Dylan,
We appreciate your honesty and feedback. Our driving range experienced a huge uptick in usage this year due to golf's popularity during the pandemic and we can assure you that we are not only working as hard as we can on the grass tee, but we are also considering a mat option as well. As for nnot being charged the same as your playing partner, we'd like to learn a little more about that. If you would, please send us an email to Golf@pbcgov.org with your name, the date you played and the time of the reservation. We would be happy to look into this and circle back with you. We hope you will return for another round soon, and that the golf course will "wow" you during that visit. Until then, keep 'em in the short stuff.
Average course, unfriendly management
After being referred to this course and told that it was "spectacular", I found the course itself average at best. While the people I was paired with to play my rounds were very friendly the staff at the course were the most unwelcoming I have encountered... ever. During my visit here I played a total of 5 local courses and would rank this the last one that I would return to for just that reason. Such a shame, it could have been a fun place to play.
Course in good shape
Very slow pace of play . Had to wait on every shot .Normally this course has a fast pace but I think 1 nine side closed due to aerification caused this.
Thank you for the five-star review and for spending the day with us. We apologize that the pace was a bit of an issue on the day you played... we do our very best to keep all rounds under 4 1/4 hours. We look forward to seeing you again soon.
We can't thank you enough for the five-star review! We look forward to seeing you again soon.
