Osprey Point Golf Club - Hawk/Falcon Course
About
Located in South County Regional Park, Osprey Point Golf Club offers the first course in Florida to be designated as an Audubon International Classic Signature Golf Course. You would never be able to tell from looking at it now, but the site was farmland before it was used for shellrock mining and then abandoned. The landscape had been overgrown but the Parks and Rec Department of Palm Beach County transformed it into a lush and scenic course. The golf course is a 27-hole layout that can be played in three different 18-hole combinations. All of the tees, greens, and fairways feature environmentally friendly Seashore Paspalum. The Hawk/Falcom combination has a gently rolling landscape enhanced with native vegetation. The elevation changes are subtle but they still provide a few tricky lies.

Fun golf, great value in Palm Beaches area
Simply put, Osprey Point is a delightful golf journey that doesn't beat you up. Sure, if you hit a really wayward shot, you can find the palmettos or wetlands, but there's plenty of fairway and firm fairways at that, which means most players can roll the ball a long way if they need to. Add to that accessible greens and great conditions all for under $60 in peak season, and you've got a real bargain in one of the most expensive areas in the country.
Rain
Played 9 holes then severe rain. Course would not issue a rain check. They said I would have to go through Golfnow. Com. How does that work?!?!
Good, but not excellent
I was somewhat surprised by the excellent reviews on Golfnow. Osprey Point is a nice course where you can enjoy the day far away from the sound of traffic, but to me as a golf course, it was far from the best courses around. The greens were excellent and the fairways a lot less dry than on most courses in the area, but something was still missing. To say that Osprey is ahead of similarly priced courses like Atlantic National and President CC is, in my opinion, laughable. I'd rather play Okeeheelee twice than Osprey Point once, the price would be the same. Okeeheelee is a more beautiful course, but the greens in Osprey Point are superior.
Great Course
I could play this course every day... great layout and great practice facilities and great staff--5 star rating!!
Magnificent course
If you are looking for great course in great condition, you have to play here.
en parfaite état
Très beau terrain public, le gazon des allées et les verts d'une qualité supérieur.
love
Love the golf course. Have to be a ahot maker. Narrow fairways
Best Greens!!
I have played about 8 courses since moving to the area, liking all but one. The greens at Osprey Point are by far the best yet. It's worth playing just to putt on the greens. Course layout is awesome and a challenge. Greens are well protected and not easy to keep ball on the green. Makes hitting the fairway a key to good scoring. I can't wait to return. Great course abd even better greens!!
Delayed start -- starters are a mess
Teed off 45 minute after assigned tee time -- and only after complaining. Starter system is a complete mess. Target golf course -- lateral hazards on both sides. Great greens (fast and difficult)
Beautiful and challenging
The course was quite beautiful and challenging, especially for the long hitter. The greens were in great condition but many players had not repaired their ball marks.
Spectacular course
This is the best public course in Palm Beach County, Florida. The greens are flawless and fast. The entire course is groomed. It was a pleasure to play.
Great value
excellent course that is the best value for the money I've found in South Florida. Layout and conditions easily compete with the best
around. Very fast greens and a great challenge when the wind is blowing.
Best Greens on Golf Trip
Played 7 rounds on differet courses on recent golf trip to Ft Lauderdale and these were the best greens of all. Smooth an reasonably quick. All other course conditions very good as well. Excellent track with very interesting holes. We played Raven/Falcon. Did not play Hawk. Somewhat narrow course with wetlands and waste areas, but very, very playable. Don't be too proud to leave driver in bag on certain holes. Select correct tees and have fun.
Relaxing and enjoyable
This course had all the features to play good golf and walk away very pleased.
Great course
well maintained. Green could be slightly improved- lot of ball marks
best maintain course we played
osprey was a well maintain public course and the best we played on our vacation. tough layout along the everglades so bring extra balls because you don't want to wander into the bushes. we started 20 minutes after our tee time and had to play the last 2 holes in the dark. starter was a little rude and it seems he might have some of locals slip in front us and that was the real reason we started late. when we checked in they said they were 5 minutes ahead of schedule and 30 minutes later they were 20 minutes behind???
Excellent shape
I recommend this golf club with its 3 9hole-courses
True Gem
The team at Osprey is extremely accommodating. Incredible practice facility. I drive 40 minutes to play when i have a course 2 minutes from my house.
Call Golf Now & not the course & they will refund your money providing that the course states that they were/are closed after severe rain.
My comment is that Ms. King's note is more important to me than any of these reviews. What a gracious and hospitable thing to do for a customer. I will make it a point to play there at my first opportunity.
That's being on the ball Ms. King!
Hi,
Sorry to hear that you were unable to finish your round on Saturday. We issued over 60 rainchecks to players that could not finish their rounds due to the weather that day. The reason we were unable to issue you a raincheck is because you purchased one of GolfNow's "hot deals". They actually collect the fees for that round of golf. Normally when a "hot deal" time is unable to complete a round, GolfNow is very accommodating in issuing you a credit for the unplayed portion of your round. If this was not the case, please let us know and we will get you in contact with the correct person.
I hope this answers your question and we hope to see you at Osprey Point on a sunnier day.
Sincerely,
Bethany King
Manager, Osprey Point Golf Course
