About
Pearland Golf Club opened in 1982 after Jay Riviere was brought in to build the course as the centerpiece of a residential development for senior citizens. Mike Hoelzer rolled through in the late 1990s for a redesign on this fairly basic 18-hole golf course. The short design features generous fairways and prominent bunkering around the undulating greens. Lakes and ponds have been added over the years and impact play on most holes. Trees have also been added over the years to spice up the flat, prairie-like course.
No. 9 is one of the toughest holes, a 440-yard par 4 that doglegs and has water. No. 16 is considered Pearland's signature -- a 554-yard par 5 that also doglegs and has water in play.

Nice neighborhood course
I am a beginner and this is nicest course I’ve played so far. Not easy but not a tour pro course either (which is why I love this course. Just went to have fun. Course was in great shape and just enough hazards to make it interesting.

November 24th
Course is in great fall condition. Greens are quick. Front 9 went great then started to bottleneck. Group of 3 ahead were very slow and had 4 groups on a home on some holes. Called pro shop and were told Marshall went home? Back 9 was painfully slow. Really needed a Marshall to move that group along.

Great Course
Second time I've played this course and I can't say enough. Greens are as good as anything available. Course was in great shape, especially for "winter" conditions. Grounds crew was out blowing leaves off the course, so everything looked sharp. I had the course to myself, basically. Great experience; highly recommend. I don't have anything negative to say. I "splurged" a month ago or so to play Black Horse, and this course was in significantly better shape than Black Horse. I'll definitely be back.

Good but not las good as last week.
Good course but conditions were not as good as last week. Lots of wet areas for being off path. Greens were very good but could be faster. Sand traps still haven’t been repaired, rake and place.
Three some finish in 3.5 hrs.
Winter is coming and course will play much longer- choose tees wisely.

Over-all course conditions are very good. Today fairways were saturated though due to recent rains. Greens were very nice. Fast roll but held nicely on approach. Very tough pin placements today.

Great course
Don’t be fooled by the short distances on holes ... this course will challenge all skill levels. Greens are in excellent condition and roll very fast IMO. Great value ... I’m lucky it’s so close to me!!

Slow pace of play
I love this course but today was the worst experience. Course needs to have a starter that allows proper spacing of groups. Today there were multiple two-player groups stacked on top of each other. Too much time sitting on each shot. Course in great shape and greens were rolling strong. Will be back

Greens are in excellent condition. Fairways are still wet , but when they dry out will be in good shape
