About
Pearland Golf Club opened in 1982 after Jay Riviere was brought in to build the course as the centerpiece of a residential development for senior citizens. Mike Hoelzer rolled through in the late 1990s for a redesign on this fairly basic 18-hole golf course. The short design features generous fairways and prominent bunkering around the undulating greens. Lakes and ponds have been added over the years and impact play on most holes. Trees have also been added over the years to spice up the flat, prairie-like course.
No. 9 is one of the toughest holes, a 440-yard par 4 that doglegs and has water. No. 16 is considered Pearland's signature -- a 554-yard par 5 that also doglegs and has water in play.

Holy shot maker
Fun track if you can work the ball! Every tee shot can be approached in different ways. If you like to think your way around a course this place is for you! Course was in good shape except for the bunkers which all play as GUR due to the rain. Greens were slow for my liking but rolled true. Errant tee shots will cost you at least a stroke if not more. Will definitely play again!
Tight
First time and I had pretty low expectations, as I try to have when I pay less than $15. This one of the tightest courses I've played and I would highly recommend for players looking to put their accuracy off the tee through its paces. Accuracy is a must, but more so, eventually, the tightness and treelined fairways will put your scrambling to the test the way few other courses will. One of the great things about golfnow hot deals is it has me playing so many different courses. This course needs to be in every players lineup just to keep you honest. Condition was ok or below. Greens rolled good. Plenty of water, OB's and holes of all lengths. Say what you want about the course, it is not "more of the same" Houston golf.

I had not played this course in a long while and found the green in great shape. Some bunkers can use some sand.

Good course
Good course- grass in rough fairy difficult, some light maintenance needed all around.

Well mana cured course.
The course at Country Place is well maintained. The scenery is amusing. I’ve played this course many times, and I’m delighted to say that today I shot my all time best score here of an 89. I’m definitely playing here again very soon.

Challenging-Won’t Disappoint
Iavid golfer - play 4xs or more a week. Few years ago I played here and swore I’d never return, convinced to give it another chance and see changes made to course snd staff. I’m now a regular and haven’t missed a Saturday w/ my group for weeks. Course is in excellent condition, forces you to concentrate & manage game hole by hole. Always impressed with the condition of course and greens!! Staff in kitchen is friendly but ask for Shaney she’s an awesome cook and fun to talk to... golf shop recently had some staff changes, my group and I both agree that Joan and the lady whose in charge the pro are our favorites, they are always smiling, make us feel welcomed and extremely accommodating to our needs. Try to avoid the assistant w/ dark hair he has never said hello or in a good mood. Definitely don’t try to create small talk bc you walk out thinking negative about everyone, he rushes check in & just wants u out so he can go do something else except his job, don’t bother returning to ask him a question or buy something bc you’ll miss your tee time waiting on him to return
Overall facility is one of my top 3 places to golf in Houston

Aeration ruins round
I showed up for my tee time and was informed that the greens had been “punched” the day before. I was offered a discounted rate so that made my decision to play anyway. The layout is nice but not being able to putt made the round disappointing.
We appreciate you taking the time to review the course and rate us. We work hard to maintain the course for everyone's benefit, which means punching the greens is part of our regular maintenance schedule. The greens will be healed soon and in pristine condition. Greens punched & sanded
I was aware of the situation when I went out to play. The fairways were in great shape and I'm sure the greens will be as well. Loved the layout of having to play the course. This course is a lot of fun with tight fairways and hidden trouble. Will definitely be back to play another day.
