About
Pearland Golf Club opened in 1982 after Jay Riviere was brought in to build the course as the centerpiece of a residential development for senior citizens. Mike Hoelzer rolled through in the late 1990s for a redesign on this fairly basic 18-hole golf course. The short design features generous fairways and prominent bunkering around the undulating greens. Lakes and ponds have been added over the years and impact play on most holes. Trees have also been added over the years to spice up the flat, prairie-like course.
No. 9 is one of the toughest holes, a 440-yard par 4 that doglegs and has water. No. 16 is considered Pearland's signature -- a 554-yard par 5 that also doglegs and has water in play.

Nice course
Challenging, well maintained course with nice greens. Staff is friendly. This was my first time playing here, so I don’t know what the normal pace is, but my round was 5 hours, so I thought the pace of play was pretty slow for teeing off at noon. Even with the slow play it was a great outing.

Wet
The course is well maintained and the greens are in great shape. They have received a lot of rain and it doesn't drain too well. Great value and a fun track.

Great Course / Great Price
I would recommend this course to anyone who wants to play a nice fair course in excellent condition. The course has a lot of character because it has been around for awhile. Reminds me a lot of the courses I grew up on in Pittsburgh, PA. A+++

Countryplace always has been a course where you have to make Golfshot’s. You cannot try to muscle this golf course! The greens are undulated and there is strategic pin placements. The upkeep of the course is pretty good. I would never advise beginners to play this course!

Great round of golf! Some tricky holes! Hit a couple great drives and ended up in hazards bc of course knowledge! But great time!!

Tight and tough
Course is in great shape. Greens are the best public course on that side of town. You better keep the ball in the fairway.

Overall great
This is one of my favorite courses because of the price. Have seen better layouts, but still four star. Great greens but have seen beter days recently. Overall I would definitely recommend for price and quality of the fairways and greens! Golf here!

Nice course
Nice layout. Excellent greens. Some may not like that houses line most fairways. However, if that is not an issue, you will enjoy this well kept average length course. Shot placement is key as there are plenty of hazards to avoid. You will use most of the clubs in your bag as you think your way around this challenging layout.

Bargain
Well worth the money, staff is friendly, fairways and greens in very good condition. A few pin positions just stupid, and only saw drink cart once were only improvement opportunities.

sweet greens
played this sunday weather was perfect on fathers day. not too crowded. greens were in perfect shape, fairways also. will play this course again in future.course is in beautiful shape. .thanks PGC for keeping such a beautiful course.

Fit for the older golfer
Disliked the layout of many of the holes. Many holes have a dramatic 90 degree dogleg, leaving you a longer 2nd shot than your drive. Fairways are really tight. If you miss the fairway you will likely be in someone's backyard, trying to hit the ball out of thick st Augustine grass
