Pearland Golf Club
About
Pearland Golf Club opened in 1982 after Jay Riviere was brought in to build the course as the centerpiece of a residential development for senior citizens. Mike Hoelzer rolled through in the late 1990s for a redesign on this fairly basic 18-hole golf course. The short design features generous fairways and prominent bunkering around the undulating greens. Lakes and ponds have been added over the years and impact play on most holes. Trees have also been added over the years to spice up the flat, prairie-like course.
No. 9 is one of the toughest holes, a 440-yard par 4 that doglegs and has water. No. 16 is considered Pearland's signature -- a 554-yard par 5 that also doglegs and has water in play.

Good greens, wet fairways
The course is much better after the remodeling work. The greens are in good conditions, however the fairways need some work on drainage. when we played the day before it had rained but the fairways were very wet.
Mini swamp
The course was basically a swamp, they should have closed the course and air raid it instead of charging the lowest fare they could get. Would have much rather not played then having to wash my clubs after every stroke. If you can drive it over 225 you only need 5 clubs. Greens weren’t great either. I was on a tee-box and maintenance was digging behind the tee-box and did not stop for me. Course might be worth it in dry conditions, but I’d say go elsewhere if possible.
Course good shape for weather conditions
The round of golf here is fun. Carts with GPS. The staff is friendly and no delays in the pace of play.
Thank you for your positive review. We are glad you enjoyed your experience and look forward to having you out again.
Course Doesn't drain well at all.
I have payed here numerous times. The course layout is very good and challenging as well. Unfortunately, it does not drain well at all so please DO NOT play this course after rain. Wait at least 2 days for course conditions to improve before play.
Rain 2 days earlier affected play
Since rain 2 days earlier affected the course and shots since there was no roll. So this review is not representative of the course when things are normal.
Cold Day at Pearland Golf Club
We got off before a tournament on a cold Saturday morning. There was still some standing water from rains a few days before, but the course was in good shape for the time of year. The fairways and greens were in good shape given the time of year, but the bunkers could use some work. There was nobody in front or behind us the entire round, so we were able to play at a reasonable pace. The price was great for a Saturday morning tee time.
So happy I found this place. Thanks for making it so affordable to play.
waiting for cart 40 minutes
Visited on 6 Jan, Sat. I checked in 1:05 for 1:20pm tee-off, they told me my team had to wait for cart roughly till 1:50pm. I were called 1:55pm and tee-off at 2pm. I believe they should have informed the lack of cart when booking. not recommended to my friends.
Country Place
The course is not being managed, there were no carts available and no Marshall. The course was overbooked and members were teeing off with personal carts. It took 3 hours to play 9 holes. I didn’t finish my round but it was a horrible round. Tried to play again today and the clubhouse was again out of carts and backed up 50 minutes. I left. Their golf now and member tee times aren’t consolidated and it is creating a cluster on the course.
Amazing
Forgot to do a review when I came back after the renovations and wow did not think this course could get better than it already was. Sadly its a little out of the way since I live in league city but will make the 30 minute or so drive soon again. Fairways greens and tee boxes are like any private course would be and its not even private and mostly only $25-40 through the golf now app.
Played sometime back in September but cannot remember the exact date
Great Course
Very challenging, lots of water and dog legs. Greens even though being sanded were great. Tee boxes were great as well. If you play Southwyck down the street, save yourself some time and play here instead. Staff was very friendly and kind. Definitely making this a normal spot
Played here 3 or 4 times now. Nice wide fairways but a lot of bunkers and water to keep your game strategic. Nice greens. The carts have gps so the yardage function is pretty cool.
The only issue is no cart coming round with beverages
Thank you for your positive review. Unfortunately we have only had a total of 5 full days of sunshine in 2018. Couple that with rain nearly everyday and it has stayed wet all year so far. We hope to see you back out when the weather makes a turn for the better.
