Pearland Golf Club
About
Pearland Golf Club opened in 1982 after Jay Riviere was brought in to build the course as the centerpiece of a residential development for senior citizens. Mike Hoelzer rolled through in the late 1990s for a redesign on this fairly basic 18-hole golf course. The short design features generous fairways and prominent bunkering around the undulating greens. Lakes and ponds have been added over the years and impact play on most holes. Trees have also been added over the years to spice up the flat, prairie-like course.
No. 9 is one of the toughest holes, a 440-yard par 4 that doglegs and has water. No. 16 is considered Pearland's signature -- a 554-yard par 5 that also doglegs and has water in play.

Cold Day at Pearland Golf Club
We got off before a tournament on a cold Saturday morning. There was still some standing water from rains a few days before, but the course was in good shape for the time of year. The fairways and greens were in good shape given the time of year, but the bunkers could use some work. There was nobody in front or behind us the entire round, so we were able to play at a reasonable pace. The price was great for a Saturday morning tee time.
So happy I found this place. Thanks for making it so affordable to play.
waiting for cart 40 minutes
Visited on 6 Jan, Sat. I checked in 1:05 for 1:20pm tee-off, they told me my team had to wait for cart roughly till 1:50pm. I were called 1:55pm and tee-off at 2pm. I believe they should have informed the lack of cart when booking. not recommended to my friends.
Country Place
The course is not being managed, there were no carts available and no Marshall. The course was overbooked and members were teeing off with personal carts. It took 3 hours to play 9 holes. I didn’t finish my round but it was a horrible round. Tried to play again today and the clubhouse was again out of carts and backed up 50 minutes. I left. Their golf now and member tee times aren’t consolidated and it is creating a cluster on the course.
Amazing
Forgot to do a review when I came back after the renovations and wow did not think this course could get better than it already was. Sadly its a little out of the way since I live in league city but will make the 30 minute or so drive soon again. Fairways greens and tee boxes are like any private course would be and its not even private and mostly only $25-40 through the golf now app.
Played sometime back in September but cannot remember the exact date
Great Course
Very challenging, lots of water and dog legs. Greens even though being sanded were great. Tee boxes were great as well. If you play Southwyck down the street, save yourself some time and play here instead. Staff was very friendly and kind. Definitely making this a normal spot
Played here 3 or 4 times now. Nice wide fairways but a lot of bunkers and water to keep your game strategic. Nice greens. The carts have gps so the yardage function is pretty cool.
The only issue is no cart coming round with beverages
Very good very bad
The Pro Shop excellent customer service. The snack bar staff made us feel she was doing us a favor to wait on us. Unfortunately the last image we remember.
I'm realizing I've played here 4 times and never once seen a cart girl.
Will be back
great course definitely caught my attention only problem was very wet from night before but still had a goo round. Everything was great and can only imagine how better of a game I Might have if the conditions are dry.
Pearland Golf Club
This is a great course, and I regret not playing it sooner. the only thing that worried me was hole 17 & 18. they played right next to a road where even a moderate slice had you playing out of the median. they should probably put some more trees/netting over there. other than that, the course was exceptional. I will definitely be making a stop to play this course as much as possible.
Condition and challenge
Wonderful conditioned course, Greens are beautiful and a real challenge because of the contouring. This is a course that requires accuracy. Fairways are not that wide and you have water on one side and trees on other side on almost each fairway. Each time one plays this course it is a fun challenge.
Good Value Course
I played this course for $40 on a Sunday morning, which is probably the cheapest you'll find in the Houston area. It's never very crowded, and the course is in pretty good shape. The carts have GPS in them, which is a nice touch. Lots of houses along the holes, so if you don't hit the ball straight, you could be hitting some houses.
