About
Pearland Golf Club opened in 1982 after Jay Riviere was brought in to build the course as the centerpiece of a residential development for senior citizens. Mike Hoelzer rolled through in the late 1990s for a redesign on this fairly basic 18-hole golf course. The short design features generous fairways and prominent bunkering around the undulating greens. Lakes and ponds have been added over the years and impact play on most holes. Trees have also been added over the years to spice up the flat, prairie-like course.
No. 9 is one of the toughest holes, a 440-yard par 4 that doglegs and has water. No. 16 is considered Pearland's signature -- a 554-yard par 5 that also doglegs and has water in play.

Just needs a starter.
Course is really great. However too many singles and twosomes on the course because there's no starter controlling the first tee. Pace of play would improve. Other than that a great experience.
Pace. Of. Play.
There was only one thing that really put a damper on our experience at Pearland Golf Club, which was the pace of play.
We had to wait at least 10 minutes at every hole starting on hole 5. This turned our golf outing into a 6.5 + hour experience. Absolutely terrible. We didn't see a single marshal either.
Besides for the pace of play, the course is one of the nicer ones I've played in/around Houston for what I paid. Perfect sand, decent greens and fairways, and very nice golf carts. Will consider going back.
Great value
Course is in good condition and the amenities are nice. I will definitely be back.
Great place to play
Course is well kept and nicely laid out through the neighborhood. If you slice a lot (like my partner) you will have to close your eyes frequently and hope you don't break any windows!

Challenging course that makes you plan out your shots. Lots of doglegs. The greens were in fantastic condition, especially for summer!
Course is in great shape and the layout is challenging. Definitely would recommend to anyone. They make a good burger in the clubhouse as well.
Good value Course with some challenging holes
Nice place, really feels open like a links style layout but the rough can get hairy real quick so accuracy off the tee is still essential. Different tees so for a longtime single digit handicapper who is right at 60 and reconciling the distance loss I could move up a tee box and still have a shot at the 5's in two.
Fun and Strategic Course
Great course. It is not long on every hole and a few dog legs call for an iron or 3 wood off the tee box so strategy is a must.

Course was in good condition - greens a bit rough but that is not unusual for the summer. Nice staff. Will definitely return.
Great course and value!
Played this course for the first time today and it was great! It has five tee boxes to choose from, fairways and greens were in awesome shape and value for the price is great. Carts have GPS and the little storage space on top which is great! Restroom availability is a plus specially when playing with women. I was very pleased and will definitively come back often!
Wow
What a great course. Course condition was excellent. Fairways perfect,and the greens although slower than some courses where in great shape and rolled true. They had fresh ice cold water on almost every hole. Not a super hard course if you put your tee shot in the fairways. But still challenging lots of bunkers guarding elevated greens. I will definitely play this course again.
