Pecan Hollow Golf Course

About
One of the first courses in the growing 1970s Plano community, Pecan Hollow started out as the Plano Municipal Golf Course. Don January and Billy Martindale, who had recently completed their signature Royal Oaks in Dallas, contracted with the city to help provide golf for Plano’s growing population.
The terrain here is flat, and the fairways are mostly wide open. January used the standard bunkers, water hazards, and trees in his design to cause problems for the golfer. The greens are of medium size and speed, and the course is basically pretty standard until you reach the punishing final stretch of holes. Nos. 16-18 are all 445-yard-plus par 4s with water in play–one of the toughest tests of golf in the DFW area.
Getting there : From I-75 north, take Plano Parkway east, then exit at 14th St. Turn right, drive a short distance to the course, and look for the entrance on the left side of the street.

Pace will ruin your life
I’ve been playing in the Dallas area for about a year now and even tho it’s Saturday, I have yet to play over a 5 hour round until yesterday. The greens are very bumpy, sand traps are rocks but other than that the course is in decent shape. The pace of play is making me not play here till winter. There’s a reason why there’s hot deals for this place every week. This ain’t worth it folks
Great Course and Value Combination
Fairways and Greens are excellent, lots of cold water along the course which is great for hot days. Just FYI, greens are being punched next week.
Great course
Some of the best conditions DFW. Greens rolling great.
Great courses in Great shape, but pace of play is bad
Exactly like the title says. The course is awesome and in great shape right now. Hopefully the summer heat doesn’t scorch them, but we played a 5 and a half hour round and that’s just not good in this heat. Need to space out the tee times a little more but if you’re playing on the weekends, just expect it to be slow.
Slow day
Very slow group in front of us and a group of 2 hitting into us. Course was in good shape but got stuck between 2 annoying groups.
Great condition!
Greens rolling fast and true. Overall best course condition I have seen at Pecan Hollow in 20 years. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Best Conditions I’ve Ever Seen!
Bravo Pecan Hollow! You get it!
I play public courses all over DFW and I can honestly say that Pecan Hollow is in the BEST shape of them all!
The greens are excellent while everyone else is salvaging theirs!
Keep up the great work and please let your staff know they are doing a great job!
7 min tee times on fathers day
Holy cow guys come on. 7 mins between tee times 3.5 hours to play 9 from our reserved time. You don’t need to be trying to cram as much on there. My weekend group won’t be going back until they change this because it’s just not fun waiting 30 mins for 5 shots.
