Arrowe Park Municipal Golf Course

Good course but gets spoilt by too many groups on it,we had a six ball in front of us and a five ball behind,no one on the course to steward what was going on

Great course for the average golfer.

Good off course facilities, not overly technical, wide fairways but well kept and maintained.

Greens were in brilliant condition.

We played on Saturday the 4th and it took over an hour to get to the Tee on the 3rd. Clearly this was impacted due to pace of play up in front and allowing too many people on the course and a society using all the morning slots. What’s the point of Tee times if you end up queuing on the 1st tee. The staff in the shop just said to queue up. Our tee time was 12:28 but we finally tee’d off at 12:50. After 3hr 45mins and only just getting to the 13th tee we decided enough was enough and walked off. As the pace of play would have meant almost a 6hr round of golf!!

Poor course management by Wirral Borough Council. Also it doesn’t help when users don’t stick to their own tee time!

First of all, the pace of play was ridiculous. Two old boys in front of us, looks like they have never played golf in their life. Taking 3 shots to get 50 yards and no etiquette or respect towards us two behind them. One of them was wearing wellies and jeans, how this is allowed I’ll never know. I’m aware it’s a municipal course but come on, at least make an effort. The ground was a quagmire in places and the greens were a mess. If this was a private course it would be shut down. I’ve not played many courses with standing water on the green.

I’ll not be returning. Only plus point, the guy in reception was nice.

Course very wet would been good if golf now could inform their clients when there is a trolley ban on.

So I had to strip back my cart bag so I could play.

Green weren’t bad taken into conditions the overall wetness of the course.

Had 4 ball in front typically both my friend and myself were up the back of the 4 ball who didn’t let us through some golfers need to their head around decorum of the game.

On a dry day it would be a lovely course it was a knock just need good few days dry weather probably about 2 - 4 weeks to dry out phone before arriving just to make sure no trolley bans etc.

As a beginner,found the fairways wide and forgiving,I'd only played smaller 9 holes so seemed a long course for me but nothing too scary,course and greens in decent nick,was quite busy,minor hold ups every now and then but there was a 3 ball in front of our pairing,will be playing again

The course is good! Greens were good! Some were fast and some were slower than others. Pace of play was terrible, there was to many people on the course and there for 4 ball in front of me and my friend. We were a 2 ball and they didnt let us play through. Other than that it was good and would play here again

Nice greens and fairways. Tees are in very poor condition

The course is pretty good with a decent layout. It could do with a bit more maintenance but it is huge so understandable that it not pristine everywhere.

Played at the end of June and the course was in very good condition. The fairways could have been cut a little shorter and been a bit faster but everything else was great. We really enjoyed our round and would definitely play again.

Played the course 20 years a go it was a lot better then than today needs more work do to it bunkers & green's need a lot of work .

Friendly staff, lovely course well played out, really enjoyed the golf today looking forward to Golf Wednesday again next week
