Avisford Park GC
Played the course for the first time April 2025. Its a lovely course with appealing features, tree lined boundaries and well maintained fairways. The only negative experience was, we were behind two lots of very slow 4 balls in front and a slow 5 ball infront of them. We did eventually play through them but it became frustrating. Definately play the course again but perhaps not a Sat afternoon.
Total rip off
Only 9 holes open. Those open had no proper tee boxes. Greens were punched and sanded. So much rubbish on the course it was hard to find your ball in the centre of the fairway, let alone off the fairway. Nearly hit 4 times whilst teeing off, as no one here believes in shouting fore. Walked after doing the open 9 as I couldn’t face going around again. £45. Total rip off.
This is a great course
This course draws you in with a great front 9 then takes you onto the more challenging back 9. Course was in great condition. Throughly enjoyed my round.
Lovely course in winter , can't wait for summer
Very nice course , some challenging holes. Drains well , greens were good also.
Great Golf
We had another great round at Avisford, would highly recommend the course, the bar staff are really welcoming, be back very soon
Avoid
I used to play here fairly often and it was always a decent place to visit. The clubhouse was never grand but it was friendly and well run and had everything, ie, food offer and a bar, pro shop etc. The course is by no means a championship but it was well looked after and it does provide a good challenge with many holes being a lot harder than they first appear.
I was saddened to find it in a sorry state when we visited recently. The clubhouse had no food and bad coffee from a machine, no pro shop, no staff around. The course is in a terrible state, and the whole place feels like it’s on its last legs. I imagine problems with ownership and rising costs have done for it. My advice is to avoid like the plague, unless you enjoy playing golf on a farmers field and playing out of bunkers that are just holes full of builders sand.
Avisford golf course
This is the third time playing here, every time we play here we always have a great time, big shout out to the ground staff who keeping in great condition considering the weather we have had lately, bar staff were also very welcoming, overall a great golf course.
Good round at Avispark Golf Course on 28th August. First time there.
Good Pace of Play and excellent Course Conditions. Staff Friendly. Good Value for the Money with reduced price. Good Course Layout with a very different front nine and back nine. Good amenities. Played 28/08/2024. I would recommend this course.
Golfing at Avispark
Had a nice day at Avispark Golf Course on Friday 23rd August. It was the first the three of us had played there, having travelled from the London and Surrey area for a wedding. The course is divided into the front 9 on the clubhouse side of the road and the back 9 on the other side, meaning you had to cross a pretty busy road. The course was ideal for novices and experienced golfers. It was well laid out with some forgiving and challenging fairways. The greens were not great and seemed to all under repair, hence the rating.
Solid value for money
Could do with some more signage on the back nine, some of the paths and steps could do with improving too. Contrasting nines with the flat front around the hotel and then hilly back over the road. Small greens which really test your accuracy on approach. Solid value for the £26 I paid.
Loved it
Played the front 9 a few times, first time I played the back 9 which was fantastic and very challenging.Came with my brother in-law who plays a lot of golf and he said it was a great course.Im hoping to become a member and meet some people to play golf with.
Love the course.
ABSOLUTELY USELESS
It is no surprise to see all the poor reviews on here about Avisford Park. The management of the Golf, Leisure and Spa department are incompetent beyond belief and a complete waste of time with customer service and communications non existent. Having made an enquiry about golf membership and sent numerous emails I have not even been given the courtesy of a reply either by email or telephone.
If anybody did their job the way these people do theirs, they would starve to death and the Crest Hotels Group need to make a serious assessment into the quality of some of their staff.
Totally clueless.
Perfect weather, perfect conditions, just an uplifting experience
Gorgeous warm weather, with blue skies overhead and the course in very playable condition - just the greens a little bobbly. Thanks to all the staff at Avisford who work hard to keep the course in such condition. I really do hope that the A27 Arundel by-pass never has to trundle through such a magnificent location. I can’t wait to get back.
Great
Friendly staff , nice course , coming out of winter nicely. Especially as been so wet.
Nice setting and good value.
Very interesting back 9
Played here in November 2022 but had to go around the front 9 twice as the back 9 was closed. This time all 18 holes were open and we thought the back 9 was great! Some very different holes from what we’ve ever played previously at other courses. Overall good value and an enjoyable round at a nice place. Only negatives - I thought the greens were in poor condition and many of the bunkers need sorting out
