Avisford golf course
This is the third time playing here, every time we play here we always have a great time, big shout out to the ground staff who keeping in great condition considering the weather we have had lately, bar staff were also very welcoming, overall a great golf course.
Good round at Avispark Golf Course on 28th August. First time there.
Good Pace of Play and excellent Course Conditions. Staff Friendly. Good Value for the Money with reduced price. Good Course Layout with a very different front nine and back nine. Good amenities. Played 28/08/2024. I would recommend this course.
Golfing at Avispark
Had a nice day at Avispark Golf Course on Friday 23rd August. It was the first the three of us had played there, having travelled from the London and Surrey area for a wedding. The course is divided into the front 9 on the clubhouse side of the road and the back 9 on the other side, meaning you had to cross a pretty busy road. The course was ideal for novices and experienced golfers. It was well laid out with some forgiving and challenging fairways. The greens were not great and seemed to all under repair, hence the rating.
Solid value for money
Could do with some more signage on the back nine, some of the paths and steps could do with improving too. Contrasting nines with the flat front around the hotel and then hilly back over the road. Small greens which really test your accuracy on approach. Solid value for the £26 I paid.
Loved it
Played the front 9 a few times, first time I played the back 9 which was fantastic and very challenging.Came with my brother in-law who plays a lot of golf and he said it was a great course.Im hoping to become a member and meet some people to play golf with.
Love the course.
ABSOLUTELY USELESS
It is no surprise to see all the poor reviews on here about Avisford Park. The management of the Golf, Leisure and Spa department are incompetent beyond belief and a complete waste of time with customer service and communications non existent. Having made an enquiry about golf membership and sent numerous emails I have not even been given the courtesy of a reply either by email or telephone.
If anybody did their job the way these people do theirs, they would starve to death and the Crest Hotels Group need to make a serious assessment into the quality of some of their staff.
Totally clueless.
Perfect weather, perfect conditions, just an uplifting experience
Gorgeous warm weather, with blue skies overhead and the course in very playable condition - just the greens a little bobbly. Thanks to all the staff at Avisford who work hard to keep the course in such condition. I really do hope that the A27 Arundel by-pass never has to trundle through such a magnificent location. I can’t wait to get back.
Great
Friendly staff , nice course , coming out of winter nicely. Especially as been so wet.
Nice setting and good value.
Very interesting back 9
Played here in November 2022 but had to go around the front 9 twice as the back 9 was closed. This time all 18 holes were open and we thought the back 9 was great! Some very different holes from what we’ve ever played previously at other courses. Overall good value and an enjoyable round at a nice place. Only negatives - I thought the greens were in poor condition and many of the bunkers need sorting out
Double booked us
Golf now double booked our pair so we had 2 strangers playing with us. Avisford said it was Down to golfnow and said they do it all the time. Golf now said the course manager allowed it to happen to maximise the tee times available. Not acceptable really, the option should be given to opt out of additional tee time sharing.
Great value good greens
Very nice course. Both nines challenging and quite different. Greens very good. Cheap for Saturday round to.
Great all round value
Played a Friday after heavy rain the previous day. Although greens were a little wet, which in understandable, overall course condition was excellent. Breezed round in 3.5 hours in a two ball. Very quiet, and no waiting at any hole. Hot deal of £22 made this a place I would return to again.
Nice elevated 2nd 9 holes.
Not a bad little course at a fair price. There are some great holes on the second 9 holes. Although a short course there are not many large greens so you have to be accurate with iron play. Need some signage for the holes as some dont have any. Course condition was solid without being excellent. Overall a nice course particularly the second nine. First 9 a bit dull
Course In Excellent Condition
The course was in excellent condition. I could see the attention being given to maintaining it. Everybody on and off the course was very friendly. Hopefully the course will now remain open in its current format as the two halves complement each other. The course has been under threat for some time due to the proposed bypass and new housing nearby.
