Belton Woods Golf Club - Lakes Course

Nice Course. In excellent condition for time of year. Good mix of holes

My husband and I have played here three times in the past two weeks and plan to become members because there is a choice of 3 golf courses.

However, last but not least the staff are extremely helpful and the course is well looked after.

First time at Belton Woods golf course and loved it.

Great staff in pro shop and so course was beautiful.

Would definitely play again and asked for membership prices and deals before we left.

Hopefully this may just be our new course if the price suits us.

From start to finish the whole thing was a joke. Promo code did not work online so I had to call a premium rate phone line to sort. (So annoying having to pay to use services this way) Eventually after 20 mins the booking was complete.

Drove an hour and three quarters to play only to find the pro shop at the course had no recollection of my booking.

Was told to go see the starter as we MAY be in his list!!

We were not. I did not have my phone with me so no way of proving I had booked.

Retreated to the bar which was dirty and unclean with the intention of having a cold beer. Took one look at the place and decided against it.

Whole thing was either a scam or a farce, I’m not sure which.

Played the Lakes course.

Excellent layout and condition. Given the recent weather the conditions the greens were in great condition.

Not an easy course and careful positioning is required for your next shot.

I will definitely return as soon as the opportunity arises.

4 hours 50 minutes to play a resort course with no rough is just stupid really. They need to sort out the pace of play. Had to wait on every tee on every shot.

Myself and two friends played the Lakes course midweek and had a great time. Unfortunately there was heavy rain in the morning but the weather cleared for our tee time. A society ahead held us up slightly but we didn't mind as the course was very pleasing on the eye.

All in all a great day, nice course, testing in places and all round enjoyable day.

We will be revisiting in the summer to play the lakes again and the woods too.

We played the Lakes course on Sunday morning on a Hot deal for £10 each, What a Bargain, yes the course was wet on some of the walkways from green to the next tee but overall the course was in great condition and the greens were excellent.

The course is a well laid out and challenging.

Water hazards are a predominate feature necessitating frequent layups.

Wide fairways invite confident driving but the holes narrow and need a well placed second shot. There are some excellent bunker positions for good and average players. The greens are large and often undulating with some on two tier levels.

Well protected par 3's add to the challenge.

Really worth playing!

apart from the holes with water on them....... what a dull course, back and forth, up and down, i thought the tee boxes in the Woods course were bad... but by comparison these were the PITS......

what was bad REALLY bad was the pace... 5 hours 15 mins is just far too long........ there was a society in front of us 2 x 3 ball and a 4 ball, who were just plain hackers........ the four ball in front of them were on individual buggies... and seemed more keen on arsing about than playing. The course Marshall was a decent guy, and did his best to speed things along....

The starter and marshal were the only positive things !!

Very enjoyable outing. Prefer the Lakes course to the Woodside course as its flatter so easier to walk round though both courses are very good.

We played the course using a hot tee time, that made the course fantastic value for money. The great was in very good condition, considering its so early in the season. The greens were very good and fast. The staff within the hotel and pro-shop we very friendly and knowledgeable. I'd recommend this course to anyone.

Despite the weather the course was in really good condition. Full tees and greens in play. The wind made driving difficult on some holes but that's the weather we have to deal with.

Only issue we had with the booking was we had to play on the Woodside course as there was a competition on the Lakes. This was a disappointment as we prefer the Lakes course hence why we booked it.
