Bewdley Pines Golf Club

Having booked a tee time on line and telephoned a buggy reservation and with a tee time of 1.24pm with the prospect of just completing a full round given the time of year and light issues, we arrived to be told our buggy was still out on the course, we had agreed a strict five minute rule for lost balls to help us get around swiftly, having waited for nearly half an hour for our buggy we proceeded over to the first tee to bee greeted by two golfers who were walking, I asked for their tee time which turned out to be twenty minutes after ours, however they announced they were going and that was that! Not wishing to create a scene we just decided to leave it at that, very annoying indeed, these two gentleman were members it seems, and shd of course let us go first given both the tee time and fact we were in a buggy and also a two ball, to be fair to the pro shop, we were partly compensated playing only nine holes in the end, what ever happened to etiquette?? This course has some tricky slopes, tight holes, picturesque holes and lovely views. Friendly staff and members made our visit most enjoyable. We played after the 2026 dry summer but notwithstanding that the course was in great condition.

We had a great time, the staff was amazing and the course condition conditions were perfect.

A very interesting and challenging course, very picturesque and laid out well. First time at Bewdley Pines and will not be the last. Highly recommended for golfers who like a challenge.

Loved the course but the pace of play spoilt the round. Literally took 2 hours 55 mins to play 9 holes. Walked off after 9 as the idiot 3 ball that were 2 groups in front wouldn’t let anyone through. Looked like they’d never played a round in their lives.

Great course with some really interesting holes. Course was in great condition. Will definitely be playing it again.

Course was in great condition. Played well on a windy day. Some hard holes 2nd and 3rd.

Overall enjoyed my day out.

A fantastic first 4 holes, very tricky and tight and enjoyed the challenge they provided. Course opens up after that and allows for a nice score for lower handicap players. Would really recommend if you fancy a round somewhere new as greens were fantastic and the staff are brilliant and very accommodating.

We signed up for the golf mixed open at Bewdley Pines on 1st June 2025.

We booked a buggy because my partner and I have severe back problems and unable to play without a buggy.

We were told over the phone that it would be £18, so I booked one.

When I got to the course and went to get my buggy I was told it would be £30 not £18, the pro shop were disinterested and unhelpful (it was there mistake over the phone).

I said that I was going to withdraw from the competition and went to speak to one of the organisers.

When I stated the problem and said I was going to withdraw even though we had travelled approx 1.5 hours to get there and it was the club's fault.

Rather than them trying to be helpful as it was the club's fault, I was told that I would not get my entry fee back (£30 that I had paid in advance) because it was the day of the competition.

Therefore we were held to ransom by the club. So rather than losing my entry fee and letting down my playing partners, I had to pay the £30 for the buggy.

We teed off at 3.40 as a 2 ball and it took us 1 hr 45mins to play 4 holes. Every hole was backed up with atleast 3 groups so we walked in it was a joke. If we were to carry on playing we would have had to contact someone to bring some temporary lighting out as we’d probably finish at midnight. What didn’t help aswel that most golfers playing weren’t golfers and should never be on a course like that. Won’t be playing it again I’d rather pay and watch paint dry for 9 hours

Lovely place to play golf, always in great condition especially in winter when most places are very wet. Great layout and some very picturesque views on the back 9. Only issues was the width of the flagsticks which wouldn’t allow a ball to drop into the cup if travelling more than 1mph. Otherwise a great place to play golf.

Used hot deal so paid just £22 each for a 2 ball on a Tuesday 1.42pm tee off . Short course, well maintained & nice combination of woodland, some water/pond features & contoured/sloping fairways making for some more interest/challenge. Some slow play experienced but didn’t spoil our round but no time left to use the bar facilities before heading home!

The first six holes…..what a delight and a good test. The 4th especially is the lovliest but trickiest hole you will find anywhere. Then you hit the 7th and somebody has nicked all the trees, and it’s a sea of nothingness, just a bunch of boring holes on a sloping field. It’s as if the course architect used all his magic for the first 3rd and lost his mojo for the rest. Also, some holes are dangerous as your drive is likely to injure someone, as a few holes are very close to others. The layout needs a re-think. Finally, the greens were very bumpy. I know it’s March, but other courses around are in much better condition at this time of year.
