Jam packed! Over booked, no where to go, everyone played at good rate but there was no where to go every group had a group in front, as a single player I had to join a 2 player group to help the pace, shocking.

I have never played such a poor game. Hot day with no amenities, no seats, no shaded area to at least wait the 10 mins per hole.

Never again.

Course was in good condition, with some interesting holes and with well established landscaping.

Ever thinking about our round today was great. The weather was perfect which helped but the course was in excellent condition and played well. The range was open too for a warm up before teeing off. The number of players was good too, not too busy and the pace of play excellent. All the staff were helpful and friendly, thanks Birdhills for a great day!

Overall the course is OK... just a few gripes really. If you miss the fairway by even a yard you can easily lose your ball in the overgrown 1st cut... if it goes more than 3yds off the fairway be prepared to spend an eternity looking for it.

The tee boxes were often uneven and in wildly average condition, which was made more frustrating when we were told to move our bags off the tee on the 10th. I've never come across this rule before in all my time playing golf.

The course has an OK layout, way to overbooked though... we were held up by the 2 ball in front who were held up by the 4 ball in front of them... so we had behind up our @rse the entire round. Whilst I wouldn't play there again myself its not a bad course for the money.

Once again, course conditions were fantastic. This is a well laid out course with what I consider the perfect blend of holes. Four par 5's and four par 3's with an even mix of long and short holes with a continuous layout with no crossing of fairways to get to tee boxes

Have played here twice now with my son. Both rounds were completed in 3:15 - which is a nice pace for a course of this length.

Overall the course is in fair condition and good value for money. Improvements could be made: tee boxes could use a lot of work, the rough is longer than it should be and the greens could use aeration, rolling and some TLC. It appears that no ones fixes any ball marks on greens - very unfortunate.

On the plus side, a huge driving range, good food in clubhouse and an independent Americangolf store on site.

It’s a slow round of golf and really unspectacular in terms of layout, but it’s nice and open and the greens run really true. And the guy in the starter pavilion was really friendly and very approachable. If only they could convince even ONE person to repair a pitchmark. If you need somewhere cheap and cheerful to play, and want as confidence boost (it’s very easy to score here) then you can’t go wrong for the money. Just don’t expect luxury.

This is a fantastic course. It has a good mix of long and short holes and every time I've played here since they re-opened, the condition of the course has been fantastic. Mid week prices are unbeatable value for money at only £26 and the pace of play is generally very good. Friendly staff and a decent driving range make this a venue well worth paying a visit to.

Overall the round was very enjoyable.

Only criticisms are:

1: why have they made the original 10th - 18th holes the front 9 and the 1st - 9th the back nine.

Finishing on a par 3 is alway an anticlimax if playing stroke play as it doesn’t allow for an exciting points swing on the last hole.

2: I felt the semi rough was a good 1/2 inch to an inch too long. It never allowed a reasonable chance to find the fairway with the recovery shot. What happened to a double cut just off the fairways. Punish any really wide shots but numerous time myself or my playing partner were inches off the fairway in grass higher than the ball.

A word to the green keepers please.

This said, book with confidence at a great all round public course.
