Not so Royal Ascot
We played Roual Ascot during a dry summer so the fairways were rough and dry. The greens and tees were in good condition . Overall I found it flat and boring. It’s a par 70 with many short holes.
Staff were very friendly but no food served after 7pm despite a full clubhouse on a beautiful long summers day.
Challenge
A flat course with well protected greens and hazard to make every shot interesting
Thoroughly recommended
Good value for money, course a bit soggy in places but greens good and interesting features (not to mention wildlife!). A lot of slow 2 ballers which was my only disappointment.
Nothing special
Ordinary course, well kept but ordinary. Not worth over £60 per round when compared to others at half that.
Beautiful day
The staff were welcoming. We have been having warm weather for a few weeks. The greens with in the best condition and the tee boxes also. I'm looking for a local club to get a membership, and the price is the only thing that lets Ascot down. I'll be definitely coming back through GolfNows hot deals.
Nice but not special
The course is very well maintained but sadly s nothing special. We regularly play parkland courses of equal quality and interest but 1/3rd the price.
Fairly ordinary course
Flat and fairly ordinary course. We play other courses in Herts, Berks and Bucks at 1/3rd the price, so first and last visit.
