Bird Hills Golf Centre

This was our first time back on a golf course for 25+ years.

On arrival we had a basket of balls each and headed to the driving range.

Once finished at the driving range booked in at the club house and informed staff that this was our first visit for many a year. Upon hearing this we was given a 30min gap to the following group of golfers which enabled us to get a feel of things again and found this to be very helpful.

The staff at the course were very polite and helpful.

The course itself was in very good condition with not too many out of bounds but enough hazards to keep you on your toes

Other groups of golfers on the course were very friendly

After a round of golf it’s time for a nice cold beer on the patio outside the clubhouse and to round things off some fantastic food at a very reasonable price

Great time had by all, by the way the cost of the round of golf was very competitive.

Lovely course but too many people out. Thanked by one Marshall for letting through a two ball behind us then later on rudley told by a different Marshall we had to pick up the pace.

So not a good day but maybe we were unlucky , anyway we all agreed not to return anytime soon!

The setting of the course is beautiful not so much of a challenge fairly easy course.

Only thing my garmin gps did not work and hole markings are not visible. Apart from that I enjoyed my rounds!

Very, very hot and dry this round. The heat was stifling out on the course, hence why the slow play. Course was still in excellent condition and the hard, dry ground made you think differently about what shot you played as the conditions favoured shorter shots than ran on more.

It would have helped if the Starter had confirmed prior to Play that the GPS was round the other way i.e. hole 1 on GPS was actually hole 10.

Ni e course. Good layout for beginners like me but also challenging you to hit straight drives.

Had an enjoyable round and good facilities and friendly staff.

My only concern was that the cost for a round was quite high and would only play there again if I found a hot deal tee off otherwise imho there are far better courses where you can play for the same amount.

Great course as always, condition was superb again even after the amount of rain here over the last few days. In fact the only signs that there had been a bit of rain was that the heavy rough was a bit on the boggy side and the ditches and ponds were fuller than normal. I highly recommend this course to anyone, especially those who love to hit driver. Good tee boxes, wide fairways, well defined rough and good greens. This course has something to appeal to all golfers

Course looking better than ever. Spoiled a little bit by slow 4ball in front who wouldn’t let out faster 2 ball through.
