A good course for medium to high handicap golfers.
My handicap is 24. This course challenged me, but also made playing it enjoyable as it was forgiving in places. Some great holes and would be a good course to play during the dryer months. I would play again for sure.
Poor drainage and a lot of selfish players
The drainage of the course is very poor, it felt like walking through a puddle field than a fairway.
All 18 greens are full of pitch marks. I managed to repaired at least 5 pitch marks on each hole through out the round. Even that it seems I have not done much on each green. There are so many of them, soon there will be no smooth surface on the green to putt on. What a shame!
Good beginners course
Really enjoyed the round today. Very wet and muddy in places but overall well kept.
Course, great. Halfway Hut, Awful
Course was in good condition for the time of year.
Half way hut... RIP OFF! Be warned, check prices before ordering.
Slow and boring
The course was very morning. Nothing to distinguish the holes. A few token bridges do not make up for muddy fairways, uneven tee boxes and horrific greens.
Never again - super slow. Not an expensive course but not worth the money several other courses in the area are less expensive and a lot better.
Course Great, Half Way Hut rip off!
Course was in good condition for the time of year.
But seriously... £5.50 for a tiny sausage bap???????? Absolute rip off!
Nice track
Local course to me, it’s quite flat good for beginners. Always kept to an okay standard. Would recommend for any beginners or someone that wants a quick round.
Good course for the price
It is not a beautiful course, but it's great for a bit of practice. Greens could do with a little more attention but for the cost I was great value.
Duathalon - Swim-Golf
Beautiful golf course in excellent condition - despite the continuous rain. The course should’ve been closed as it was soaked with puddles on the greens. However, I was glad to play this beautiful course and would highly recommend it to any golfer.
All round Great course and club
Great course, played here many times now and think it's a really nice venue. Only negative point are the greens are full of pitch marks but that is down to visitors not repairing. We repaired 3-4 each to help out on our round.
All in all great place and friendly staff and nice having American golf shop here too.
Donning golf course
Excellent condition,loved the layout and very friendly staff will definitely play there again
Worth going back
Gave this course a second chance and the experience was much better. Greens were much 10 times better. Pace of play was good. Course generally was good to play. Based on this experience most definitely will play again.
Terrible greens
Bird Hills is sadly one of the poorest golf courses around. You never see any green keepers and the condition of it is the result of that, yet they charge the same as some of the far better courses in the area. It my local course but I'm always left disappointed by it.
