Bird Hills Golf Centre

The course lacked memorable holes but did benefit from a relaxed atmosphere. Greens were a little slow.

My brother and I played Bird Hills Golf Course on Friday 10th July 2020 at 3.00 pm. The weather was ideal with a light wind and bright conditions. The course was in great condition with the greens on the front nine playing medium speed. The greens on the back nine were inconsistent, with greens running medium on a few and slow on others. Overhall considering the greens get a lot of traffic, particularly at this time of year, were in good condition. However, our round was slightly ruined by a three ball in front of us who clearly were new to the game and slow play was evident. It was not uncommon for my brother and I to arrive on the next tee only to have to wait 3-4 minutes for the 3 ball in front of us to advance down the fairway. Course etiquette was unfortunately not being shown by these golfers. I would recommend this course to anyone wanting a test of golf. The 19th hole was excellent and staff friendly and accomodating.

Greens are in poor conditions, the pace of play was awful.

Played the course yesterday and it is in very poor condition. Greens are potted and bumpy. Fairways have been cut but the grass has not been cleared so difficult to find your ball. Rough is very long and again sitting grass makes it difficult to find tour ball. I would give a month at least until they fix it all

The course is good for beginners and players who do not play too often. It is very open and not too long. Greens are in good condition but fairways could do with some attention.

Staff are very friendly and the course is excellent.

Staff where helpful when we booked. Course hard than it looked and needs a little bit of thinking about really enjoyed my afternoon then well worth the trip

Never played in winds like this unbelievable but had such a brilliant day in very testing conditions course was in decent condition greens fast, staff friendly in starter hut food in clubhouse could do with a make over very bland and plain. All in all would recommend.
