Challenging - but a great course
Played Bondhay a few times, indeed it can be challenging the day we played it was very windy which added to the challenge but it is a very nice well kept course.
Great course needs some TLC
Good course that could be outstanding if a bit better looked after especially the bunkers
Great course
Beautiful course with some very interesting and well designed holes. Greens played superb and the whole course was in excellent condition. Well worth a visit.
Poor bunkers
Testing course built up to be a championship course but worse bunkers I have come across
Great Course
After having my family members over from Majorca we decided to go for a round of golf. They were very impressed with the quality of the course and how it has developed over the years. The Value for money is incredible to say what the course conditions are like. As my aunty played with us a slight, if i was to be picky point would be that they do not offer any clubs for hire for ladies. On the course some bunkers could do with more sand in them but we cannot be to harsh towards the excellence the course has to offer. I live close by and it is one if not my favourite course that i would definetly play again soon.
testing course
Good layout and condition some testing holes enjoyed the course will play again
100% Coming back
Some of the tightest fairways I've played in terms of available landing areas, very well protected by fairway bunkers which are maintained well. Greens are rolling fast and are very well protected.
The course requires the player to have a solid mental game to plot your way around and an ability to bounce back from a bogey. Ego golfers will suffer as the big stick will ruin your scores on many holes unless you can land it in perfect position. For £28 it's an absolute steal.
Nice course
2nd time played as a visitor.
course really wet and muddy.
Greens no doubt good in summer but slow, bumpy and wet today
no notification that a few holes were on temp greens, (understandably)
Lovely bacon roll and coffee before the round
wife could not get access to lockers...no ladies around who knew the code:-)...not serious
Pleasant afternoon away from home course, Norwood
played in 40 mile an hour winds which added to the challenge my handicap is 0 and my playing partner 21
we both played the round of our lives in such difficult conditions only helped by how good the fairways and greens where for this time of year I shot 75 and playing partner 95 cant wait to go back and play it again
A pleasure to play
I played Bondhay for the first time. The course itself is a pleasure to play, and is one of the best-kept I have played, although a very challenging course. The main reason for this, is that the fairways are fairly tight and the majority of the tee shots need to be sent straight down the middle (which I haven't quite 100% achieved). I am a 'high-handicapper' and thoroughly enjoyed the experience, but I will say that 'if you are easily dis-heartened by a low scoring round, Bondhay may not be your cup of tea'.
I must add that the par 3 course is worth a visit for the practise.
Not a course for the driver unless confident hitter
Played on a Saturday pm after heavy morning rain. Course was very busy but I suspect this was due to delayed morning starts. Course was quite tight off the tees - used rescue club off 8 par 4 tees. Green ok but little slow and some odd contours / hills in them. Course was generally Ok but some of the areas around tees starting to look scruffy and could do with attention. Club house friendly but a little dated.
Fantastic value for money.
Fairways and tees very lush. Greens good not too fast. Course layout makes you think about the best shot to get you round.
I have played courses far more expensive than this which have not been as good a condition.
