Kilton Forest Golf Club

Course was good, 2nd time playing it, some nice holes. The only issue I have with it is that it’s very popular with dog walkers and ball collectors. It’s quite disconcerting to hear people and dogs rummaging around in the bushes whilst you are playing. That said For a pay and play course this is one of the best around I would say, recommended!

Nobody here seems to understand the guidance regards slow play.

Avoid on a weekend due to kids using the greens as a football pitch.

Slow players spoilt our visit , caught up on third hole and then had to wait on every shot after until we missed the 12th out and walked through , commented politely about etiquette regarding slow play and received a prolonged verbal assault!

Maybe slow play can be highlighted by the club shop on booking/ signing in ??

The course hasn’t recovered from the dry conditions we’ve had this summer with bare patches on the fairways and it was difficult to find a preferred lie near the ball . The greens were slow but consistent and the pin positions fair and varied. The fairway surrounds are well tended throughout.

As usual the welcome on arrival very friendly and genuine and the staff are among the most helpful and efficient of any club in the area. It is a very friendly and welcoming club and I look forward to returning next year when the course is back to its usual standard.

Revisited and found the course in good condition with a very friendly clientele.

Good value for money course, wide fairways , greens in decent nick…

Unfortunately the tee boxes let this course down, these really need improvement.

First time playing this course but it’s been on my radar a while. Very good conditions, the greens are well looked after. The price makes this course a steal really. Not the hardest layout of course I’ve played but a very fun layout. Would definitely like to play again

Friendly welcome, pace of play was good.course is in good condition taking into consideration the weather we have had this year .

For the money, it's well worth a knock, looked after reasonably well on the budget they have. Very welcoming staff.

Played on Monday and the greens were so hard staff were watering the greens. We still enjoyed the course that is in reasonable condition tees need some work. Grass is in poor condition on the tees. They need soil and sand mix adding and seeding to improve them. Staff need to use the full length of the tee area to give grass a chance to grow and recover.

What a really nice course, for a municipal one. Well laid out, with fairly wide fairways, which certainly helped me out (haha). This was my first time playing and it certainly won't be my last.

I've played at more expensive ones and this one certainly compares for half the price !!!

As I'm moving too the area, I'll certainly be thinking of joining in the near future.

After a long time away from golf and getting the masters bug I got back out to my local for a good ease me back in style of round. Let me tell you for anyone who’s looking for a forgiving course and is out to learn this course perfect. Fairways in good condition and even the rough is forgiving the greens are good too! All in all it’s a great course for someone with a high handicap like myself.

And as for the price it’s absolutely spot on I would 100% recommend it.

Played here on Monday 6th April, weather was the best day this year playing golf. Course was very dry and greens were reasonable not very fast but ok. We were ever held up and those behind didn’t catch us, played off mainly grass tees. Rough was not very long but easy to lose a ball. so we enjoyed the round. Sat outside and had a drink in the sun.
