Good course very enjoyable challenging in places would recommend
Can't complain for the price!
Booking the course through here for 2 of us = £24 with booking fee, you can't complain really to get 18 holes for £10. The course itself is okay, a tad dry in places & the par 3's were relatively easy/not difficult. The course is well spread out, very open with limited tree's covering each hole. Only downside is no driving range. There's a chip play but is very small and same as putting practice, if overcrowded there's not much you can do.
Course in excellent condition
Really enjoyed playing this course very well maintained tee boxes, fairways and greens all cut nice, found greens a little fast but would recommend to anyone thinking of playing here.
Oh Dear...
Cannot fault the clubhouse or pro shop in any way, always welcoming. Have played the course a few times in the mornings usually which I would recommend because played later in the day and wasn't a good experience....the amount of dog walkers was horrendous and all were off leash and the owners didn't care where they ran about, after school time there were kids running about, riding across greens and into bunkers and they took a flag away on the hole we had just tee'd off on and gave us the finger ! Some of the dog walkers carried a club and were hitting random balls down fairways and one even off a green, players sneek on without paying and simply walk off near the 18th tee via a path onto the car park of the playing field at the side of the course, the club has no grip on this what so ever, BPL owned and council maintained. Take plenty of balls because if you stray into the rough its gone, period. I suppose you get what you pay for if you do decide to pay but make sure you play before schools out people !
Superb condition
Played on Monday afternoon and I have to say the course was in the best condition I have ever played it. Greens were superb, fairways were well kept and the rough almost none existent. Also for some reason it was the quietest I have seen in the 28 years I have been playing it. Can’t wait to play it again.
A game of golf with no mud
With the awful weather our golf course is closed due to water logging. As an alternative we booked KiltonForest. Friendly welcome, nice latte and sandwich then a game of golf with no mud. The course played well despite all the bad weather we have had. Credit to the green keepers.
Average
On arrival they tried to charge us £19 but we stood our ground and paid the price we had pre booked on GolfNow, first 6 holes had excess cut grass laying in clumps on fairways s, greens had obviously been recently treated and were black and bare in places, we had to wait on a couple of holes for dog walkers walking down the fairway instead of across it on the designated footpaths.

Good course - Good value
Apart from a couple of greens the course was extremely well kept, well layed out and well managed.
Great value for money
It was first time I had played it and I was surprised. It had generous fairways and although I found the front nine a little disappointing on the number of quality golf holes the back nine more than made up for it. The club house served great value for money good food and the staff were great.
