Bondhay Golf Club - Championship Course

Lot of leafs down now so you need to stay on the fairway or your ball has gone.

The ground staff had the blowers out on the fringes which was great

11th green is in poor condition making putting iffy at best.

But rest of course was very good no temps for Tboxes or greens.

Greens poor, to many trees to enjoy ur golf, leaves all over place trouble finding ur ball,tree stubs not removed after trees cut down, branches growing from bottom of trees & tree stubs, could be a great course needs better maintenance

Disappointed with course condition.

Greens average at best.

Bunkers v poor.

Pace of play SLOW.

Always have enjoyed playing Bondhay but it's very tough.

To be honest far to many trees, many holes fairways very narrow.

You'd have to a very accurate driver of the ball to keep on quite a few of them and if you miss you're in trouble.

There's too many trees off the fairways so you sometimes have to hit onto the adjacent fairways to get further towards to green and then hit over the trees. Alternatively you try to chip out sideways due to the over planted trees years ago.

Still if you accept you'll not play to your handicapt ( maybe 10 to 25 shots higher) you'll enjoy the prettiness of the course.

The best way is think, think your way around, plenty of irons off the tees for accuracy accept you'll be shirt but on the fairway.

I still keep coming back so it's got appeal

Bondhay is what it is, an extremely tough test of all your golfing abilities. The tightest fairways force you to hit shorter clubs which then obviously create a longer approach in. If your not straight off the tee your dead! Not to mention the 100+ bunkers the course has in place in the most inconvenient places

But that being said you can’t take the difficulty of the course away from the experience. In amongst the trees where you certainly will find yourself is clear of all leafs and sticks making it easy to find those way would tee shots

The greens are spot on for this time of year and the fairways are great, if you find them

Great day all round, would highly recommend to all golfers as long as you start your round expecting one of the toughest tests you’ll experience all year

Always in great condition, greens fantastic best I've seen them , hard but fair challenge.

First class course, thoroughly enjoyed it even though it ripped me a new one. My guest thought it was awesome.

Only let down was 4 hours 40 and I was on my own people so slow and not willing to let me though.

Course is a real test.

Take extra balls

Played Wednesday, shot 75 greens were perfect, course is in fabulous condition

Is a good test of golf and some lovely feature holes especially the 18th

Excellent course only ruined by my inability hit the ruddy ball. First time playing but will definitely be back.

Really enjoyed the course, it's of challenging tree lined holes and bunkering. Club house staff very friendly. Only complaint would be the course furniture/signage looks a little tired.

Course in brilliant condition , a real test of golf

Beautiful golf course, ground staff keeping it in excellent condition, very friendly and helpful staff

Played Sunday evening, course was in great condition with plenty interesting and challenging holes and a bargain twilight price. Not for those that struggle to keep it in play off the tee with small fairways, a lot of trees and hazards coming into play, but even as a high handicapper I found it a fair challenge.
