Bondhay Golf Club - Championship Course

First time playing here, the set up and facilities are brilliant, friendly people all around, my 1 only downside is that it’s not very well sign posted for the holes other than that we had a cracking day, the conditions was spot on pure sun and hard ground making them bombs we didn’t hit go a lot further 🤣

Tough course tight fairways great greens but lacking in maps or signed tee boxes not the clearest

Beautiful course but difficult one of the best I the area

I really rate this course highly.

I play off 21 and found the course challenging bit fair.

There are some beautiful holes, especially the 11th Par 3.

I also found the staff extremely polite and helpful.

Highly recommended.

Fairways like carpet not over cut .Challenging enough as quite narrow.Greens in good order.Bunkers a little Stoney but not the worst by any means l have seen.Would recommend it to anybody.

You need to be able to hit straight as not very forgiving.And hitting a fade isn't ideal for this course.Greens could be better but good for this time of year.This is a tough course for mid handicapper.Other than that we enjoyed the course and its location is lovely.

Good course but very tough, I’m a 14 handicap and went round in 102

Needs a way of notifying people that on temp greens or at least a reduced rate. 40 quid for temp greens is not good

The course was not in good condition at all. The amount of leave all over the course was ridiculous a lot of balls lost due to this. Greens were shocking.

Wouldn’t play in the winter there again.

Brilliant course & conditions for the time of year , always a very welcoming club , which i have played many times with no issues , however this time it was totally spoilt by horrendously slow play ,

We teed off earlier than our 12.06 booking , approximately 11.30 , all thanks to the friendly professional in the shop , we had a clear run up to the 5th hole , then ended up behind a golf society group , one of the 4 ball infront of us made it blatantly obvious , we were not going to be let through , no matter how many times we approached the next tee , whilst they were still teeing off , and even prompted them twice .

We eventually finished about 16.10 - 4hr 40mins for a 2 ball ! , the last 4 ball of the society in front of us must have taken 6hrs at least ?

It was bad etiquette and embarrassing , that they totally ignored our requests to play through , and enough to put you off golf for life.

We know in future to confirm if there are any , societies / competitions playing that day before making a booking , lesson learned.
