Bondhay Golf Club - Championship Course

As the title suggests.

Morning Tee off at 9.34 with rain forecast for 2pm, so no reason for the course to be quiet. However, hardly saw another golfer. We went round at our own pace and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

The course really was in great condition. Bare patches on the fareway were very few and far between. Greens were perfect (3 were at the end of recovering from hollow coming but I accept that as part of course management). The bunkers we strayed into were full of sand and not full of stones.

The only negative was that the greens were a little slow, however it had rained heavily the 2 previous days. So in a dry spell, I'd expect that to be better too.

Really interesting holes, well placed hazards, a proper challenge and we all thoroughly enjoyed. Well definitely return.

Gent in pro shop friendly and welcoming the course was in great nick good fairways great greens we had a great day out lovely people the girls in bar were welcoming all in all very impressed and 15 quid a round BARGAIN 👍👍👍⛳️⛳️⛳️

First time playing here. Really good course in very good condition. I would say that the experience was overwhelmingly positive. What's not to like for £15!

What's an absolute gem! Lovely course, lovely staff, shame about the quality of my golf!!

We played on a Sunday for the first time and it was a more challenging course than expected. I play off 18 and shot a 48 front nive which is definitely the hardest 9 due to the narrow fairways lined by trees. The back 9 opens up slightly and is more enjoyable and must have got into it as I shot a 40 so an 88 was good considering the start I made.

The course is clean and has some really nice holes so would definitely recommend playing if your up for a challenge

The course has a nice layout which is well cared for. The greens are very good however some of the bunkers need more sand. My.playing partner had played it a few times and had highly recommended it. He actually felt it wasn't as good as he remembered but I liked a lot about it.

There are some fantastic holes even before you get to the water holes. Some of the water holes are fantastic with some lovely man made ponds.

The big down side for me was the pace of play! We had a walking 4 ball in front of us, we were using a buggy and they still refused to let us through!

As an extra note the chip butty in the clubhouse was not much to write home about... the chips were verging on cremated and the bread was not buttered!

Greens was in fabulous condition, course is immaculate, real test of ability with tight fairways, trees bunkers and water. Will definitely return

First time playing this course with a twilight offer in summer, £18 for the round, excellent weather, great course, challenging but really good experience

First time playing here, the set up and facilities are brilliant, friendly people all around, my 1 only downside is that it’s not very well sign posted for the holes other than that we had a cracking day, the conditions was spot on pure sun and hard ground making them bombs we didn’t hit go a lot further 🤣

Tough course tight fairways great greens but lacking in maps or signed tee boxes not the clearest

Beautiful course but difficult one of the best I the area

I really rate this course highly.

I play off 21 and found the course challenging bit fair.

There are some beautiful holes, especially the 11th Par 3.

I also found the staff extremely polite and helpful.

Highly recommended.

Fairways like carpet not over cut .Challenging enough as quite narrow.Greens in good order.Bunkers a little Stoney but not the worst by any means l have seen.Would recommend it to anybody.
